You diagnosis is wrong in my opinion, that module will not drain a good battery, first have the battery load tested (Autozone and others do the test for free), if it is good then look for some kind of light left on or staying on, suspects are visor vanity lights and glove box and console lights.

Bleeding is for closed hydraulic systems... the air space at the top of the fluid tank is open... and air escapes the pumping action during the NORMAL functioning of the pump. There's no "bleeding" on the power steering... fill the reservoir to the appropriate level... start the motor and turn the wheel lock to lock. That action alone causes the fluid to go in... pushing any trapped air out. Check your fluid level and top it up to a medium level. (always hit those "locks" gently...It is POWER steering).
