Leak from oil filter connection at block

No. Please do NOT use silicone. The oil pressure there is very high, and it will blow the silicone right out.
...What you CAN do, if it is leaking real bad, is to take the rubber gasket off of the oil filter, and use that gasket behind the oil cooler, to the block. You will need to buy a new filter, though.
The gaskets are almost identical, until you get a new one from a Toyota dealer.

This should get you up and running. Thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance.
The graciousness of a FixYa rating would be most appreciated.

Pages (2): [1] 2 » Last Thread Next Thread Author Thread rav04 Junior Member Registered: Nov 2004 Location: Canada Posts: 6 Programming Instructions for keyless entry remote? I have a 1999 4runner LTD, can anyone provide me with the instructions to program my keyless entry remote? Thanks __________________ RAV Report this post to a moderator | IP: Logged 12-31-2004 02:11 AM NoliWan Member Registered: Dec 2004 Location: San Jose, CA Posts: 34 Hey RAV, I got your PM-- Here are the instructions for programming the 99-02 4Runner Keyless Entry factory remotes: 1. Start with the following conditions: you are in the vehicle a. Key is out of the ignition b. Drive door is open ( all other doors are closed) c. Driver door is unlocked (other door locks don't matter) 2. Insert the key into the ignition (don't turn it) and pull it out. 3. Perform these steps within 40 seconds: a. Cycle the power locks 5 times. Use an even pace and try to go relatively fast. b. Close, then open the drivers door. 4. Perform these steps within 40 seconds: a. Cycle the power locks 5 times (same as before). b. Turn the ignition to ON then back to OFF. c. Turn the ignition to ON then back to OFF. d. Remove the key from the ignition. 5. Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should cycle (automatically) indicating successful entry into programming mode. Return to step 1 if the locks do not cycle at this point. 6. Perform these steps within 40 seconds: a. Press the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter simultaneously for 1 second. b. Immediately after letting go of the lock and unlock buttons, press the lock button by itself and hold for 2 seconds. Within 3 seconds, the door locks should cycle ( LOCK then UNLOCK) once-- indicating successful programming. If the door locks don't cycle, or cycle twice. Repeat steps 6a and 6b--this remote has not been accepted. c. Repeat steps 6a and 6b for EACH transmitter that will operate the vehicle. Including any old transmitters. 7. Close the driver door. Hope this helps you, it did me greatly-- Good luck, NoliWan __________________ 2000 SR5 4Runner 4WD ____________________ TRD 2nd Gen. Supercharger / TRD Headers / TRD Cat Back Exhaust / TRD Trans. Cycle the power locks 5 times. Does this mean lock/unlock 5 times? I am really unsure. Here is some history: Actually, I didnt buy a new remote. Mine stopped working. I have an 02 T4R. Last week I noticed the *chirp* sound wasnt working any more. Over the weekend... the Keyless Remote stopped working totally. So I radio shacked a new battery in the remote... but it still does not work. I tried these reprogramming instructions, but they do not work either. "Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should cycle (automatically)" This doesnt happen. So I am wondering if I am doing the cycle correctly ... Any Advice would be appreciated. So it will be locked 5 times and unlocked five times. If you were doing this and the vehicle wasnt doing the automatic cycle thing, then there must be a problem with the computer and not the remote. quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I can't do the steps with out setting off the car alarm, specifically the close and open the drivers door step. Does your alarm always activate when the unlocked doors are closed? __________________ '00 SR5 4x4 ARB Tundra/OME 32" Muddies n'stuff Report this post to a moderator | IP: Logged 12-15-2006 05:05 PM Advertisement Sponsored Links Ads by Google Supporting this site Also, check out these sponsored links: More Links: All times are GMT. Engine light flashing twice then 4 times or 24

These issues are unrelated. The input air temp sensor is indicated by code 24. That sensor is integrated with the airflow sensor. I don't remember which pins, but you can find info online. Che k the connector and wiring first. Tne sensor is expensive. For the overdrive issue, do you have clean fluid? You can try some additive.

1985 toyota camry unplug mass air flow sensor engine will start plug back in engine dies

There is a switch in the airflow meter that keeps the fuel pump relay closed as long as there is airflow. With the meter unplugged, the pump should not run except when the key is turned to start. It would seem to me that you have a wiring issue. Try jumping the fuel pump relay so the pump runs whenever the key is on. (Remove the relay and jump the pump wire to the accessory wire--see top left diagram.) This defeats the safety feature but will keep the pump running. 0900c152801cce3c-khhlhgabxhi45qdlqmlsiuhd-5-1.gif

Okay i have 93 toyota camry and one day it will run just fine. i mean it runs perfect starts right up and i dont have aproblem with it but then the next day or even after it has set for a little while

It could be something bigger $ like rings or valves but first check your spark plug wires and plugs. There is a chance you have a crack in one of the wires that ends up shorting out or a plug that is fouled - dirty just enough to cause problems. If so, replace them. Given what you said - sitting for a couple days and may have problems, that is a bit concerning if it's consistent meaning each time it sits for a few days you have the problem but when you use it each day, no issue. If it's that way, you should take it to a repair shop and have the compression checked on each cylinder.

93 toyota camry v6 engine

I have a 94 Camry which did this. There were no trouble codes stored in the ECM to give me a clue either, but that is still the first thing if you have not done so already - get a readout of trouble codes if any. In theUS Autozone will do that for you. What it was in my 94, was the ECM itself had become faulty,. It had to be diagnosed by swapping in a replacement. If you do so, get one from a wrecker, with a short-time guarantee, for the exact same engine and transmission.
