mcdevito75 here, that is a shop job only, special tools may be needed to do this job. Best bet let your local repair shop do this job, It"s going to cost you more in time and effort to change the timeing belt than at the shop.

Netural safety switch

Daewoo cars have track record for dependability in addition to solid construction. The most important part of a car's design is the safety features. Circumvent excessive risk while motoring by insuring that your car has the safety gear that you want. A vehicle's Neutral Safety Switch is located on your clutch in the case that it's a manual transmission, and on the shifter in an automatic. A broken Neutral Safety Switch can cause your vehicle to suddenly start in gear, causing vehicle damage or personal injury. If you don't have the Neutral Safety Switch, your vehicle will fail to work. The Neutral Safety Switch is typically situated below the clutch of trucks which have a stick-shift transmission. The primary function of a Neutral Safety Switch is to stop your truck from starting when in gear. The car's Neutral Safety Switch acts as a safety feature, keeping you from starting the engine if the car is in gear. The Neutral Safety Switch is an electronic part which is essential while starting your car. Here's a link to what it look's like.

Car shudders when the transmission shifts gears-its an automatic

You can check your motor mounts. They can cause your engine to shudder. With the hood open, have someone shift into drive and watch the motor. If it rocks severely more than likely your motor and/or transmission mounts are broken or ate bad.

This car is unsolve able ???????

Hi, This Might have nothing to do with your problem, but you have nothing to loose by the sounds of it, the breather pipe from the bottom of the sump (behind the starter motor) to the top of the rocker box, mine was clogged up with slug like greese causing sencer problems and giving false information to the computer. (running rought) you got nothink to loose, try it.

2000 Daewoo Lanos has an oil leak by the head gasket/timing belt. Changed the valve cover gasket. Just had new head, gaskets and timing belt put on. No oil in the water or water in the oil. Any ideas?

Check camshaft oil seal also if head wasn't skimmed or not torqued down properly & with new bolts it could be leaking out of head gasket
