Land rover lr 3 key padwill not unlock doors battery is charged
There is a splice joint under the passenger side sill plate, under the second plate, about adjacent to the right front seat mounting. Split the harness open. Look for a blue tape with three thin green with white stripe wires. Open the tape. The joint is corroded and broken apart. This feeds the alarm rf receiver. Fix the splice and your remotes will work. - Kyle L.
Water leaking into the front carpets
Sounds horribly like a leaking heater hose or the heater core on the way out. The other option might be the aircon drain. Remove the cover panel under the dashboard, get a torch and inspect all visible hoses
Knocking sound from rear on discovery 3 on uneven roads
Could be several things, but it will save you time and money if you do some preliminary investigation yourself.
There is a good chance the noise is nothing more serious than a broken exhaust mount. Get underneath (when the engine is cold) and shake the pipe where it exits the vehicle - you will soon see if the rubber mount is broken,
Another possibility is a worn suspension bush - look around to see if all the bushes appear to be intact.
Another possibility is a worn prop-shaft universal - ditto
None of these jobs should be expensive to have fixed, but it will save you being ripped off if you know in advance what might be the cause
Lr3 05 remote control for
Yes it seems that a drain is blocked or a seal is leaking. A possible DIY fix is to get under the vehicle with an air line, find the 4 tubes for the drains that exit next to the pillars and blow them clear.
Fixing defective seals is much more work and it will probably be best to get it done by a sunroof specialist - NOT a Land Rover dealer. The cost may be nasty but better than either living with the leak OR spending hours on it if you do not know precisely whet you are doing
All fault lights on
This is not a problem you should try to solve. The workshop obviously stuffed up and it is their job to fix it, even if they have to end the vehicle elsewhere to get it right, Do NOT be nice about it!
My guess is that the ECU needs to be reset and only an experienced Land Rover shop will have the gear and experience to do it correctly
Whats the code for resetting radio on landrover lr3 2005?
This happened to my 2005 LR3. The 'FIX' i used was to remove the AMP located under the passenger seat. Remove the top to expose the digital circuits, and proceed to heat up the entire board with a hair dryer. Basically you are reflowing the Solder, to make the connections again. It worked perfect, that was 3 years ago, still working today.
Gas gauge not reading gas and gas light stays on why
Hi,there is a float sensor in the fuel tank if its stuck with the float at the bottom of the tank the light will stay on,so to find out if the sender is falty just look at the fuel tank for two connectors undo the two wires and join them together the turn ignision on and see if the gage now runs up to full,if it gose to full then replace the sender in the tank.
hope was some help.

Leaking from where and how bad is the leak? If only minor, get under the vehicle and check for signs of leakage at the drain plug and around the oil filter - these are the most likely culprits. If not obvious, clean everything up, drive and look again.
If these places are not the source, (assuming this is a petrol model) look at the rear of the engine from the top and from underneath in case it is a leaking head or valley gasket
