the fault is in the black box that is on the bottom of the fuel pump. his controls a solenoid which shuts off the fuel pump when hot and it sticks. You have to remove the pump and do the bypass on the electronics, easy to bypass but a days work to get the pump out to do the mod.

Did you replace the belt tensioner

oh yah have your harmonic balancer cheched because you can change every thing but if the balan. gets out of wack it un alines everything

Hook up a fuel gauge so that you can read the pressure when this happens. If it drops too much then you have a pump or regulator problem

Check the inertia switch (refer to owners manual for it's location). Also check the fuel pump relay.

What code does the computer show when the check engine light comes on? Google that code and common causes and it will help point you in the right direction. Also may want to let it idle, and pull the connection to the idle air control valve, which is on the throttle body, and see if it changes what the engine is doing. Spray carb cleaner into the throttle assembly, small quick squirts, while it's running and it will help clean things. Also, take the pcv valve off and shake it. Hear rattling? Still good. Gunked up with oil and dirt, nothing rattles, bad valve. Cheap.

Could be just a fluid and filter change in the tranny. Have the trans. checked out.

Sounds like air filter check and /or replace .check fuel rail for proper psi

Could be a blocked up heater core.could also be compression leakinf into coolant thrue intake gasket or head gasket.

Did you remove the faulty cable and replace it with a new one? sometimes a cable can be so badly corroded it's rendered useless, as the corrosion can travel all the way along the cable, if you have a multi tester check the resistance ( Ohms ) using the top and end of the affected cable, you should get a high pitched sound when you connect both ends ( to the meter ) thewad001

You will need 2 people to get the hood open. While you pull on the hood release cable have an assistant gently pound on the center of the hood until it pops up. If this does not work, inspect the hood release lever to see if the pivot broken, if so pull directly on the cable with a pair of locking pliers. After you get the hood open make sure to spray the latch with penetrating oil (WD40)

it can happen from a various of reason How about an alternator.if it not check the fuel pump. check the distributer cap and spark plugs.. If the car doesn't turn over then you might want to take it into the shop. Check also the solenoid.
