You need to clean the throttle body and the idle air control motor. Use brake clean and a toothbrush. Clean inside the throttle as far as you can and clean especially the back of the throttle plate and where it sits when it is shut. It's best to remove the Idle control motor and clean it with the brush. But you can start the engine and clean it some by revving it up and spraying into the throttle around the hole for the motor. It will take a second or two to start after cleaning.

The idle air control motor is dirty. It's mounted on the throttle body. Clean the plunger and spring with brake clean, you clean use a soft wire brush or tooth brush. Also clean the hole it came out of. Wouldn't hurt to use the brush and clean as far as you can in the throttle body. It will take a second or two to start after you do this, Then run normal afterwards.

check the brake switch, it is probably bad, the transmission uses another part of the switch to tell the computer when you are slowing down.

there should be screws near the inner handle and check around the perimeter of the plastic panel

Common failure the mode door motor is broken there are 2 mode door motors on the passenger side 1 for fresh / recir. air and the other position of heat/cold on drivers side has 2 also blend air and defrost/ floor . these are fun to remove usually held in with 2 5.5mm screws.

No, the damage has already been done. It may be something simple like a bad shift solenoid inside the valve body or at worst a rebuild.

There are generic remotes at most auto part stores. O'rielies for sure. One of them may work.

I'm not sure about a transmission fuse. Your owners manual will tell you what fuses, relays and breakers are where. Hope this helps.

Sounds like a broke line, if the pump were defective it would not run. therefore it would not pump the water out of the reservoir.
