2006 Malibu Maxx - rotors were out of round.

In order to retract the pistons on the rear calipers you need to use a special tool that will rotate the piston in a clockwise direction. It may be possible to try to use a strong needle nose plier.Apply force against the U shaped slots on the piston and rotate clockwise until the piston bottoms out. Before you reinstall the caliper make sure that the recessed slots are at 12 and 6 "o"clock..the slots align with one or two bumps on the inside pad.
If you are having problems with your calipers rebuilt one are a good option. If only the caliper slide pins are sticking they can be cleaned and lubricated.Pin lubricant sometimes comes with a set of brake pads.Other than that lube may be purchased separately at an automotive supply store.

2005 MALIBU MAXX REAR WIPER ASSEBLY

The wiper arm connection at the motor shaft is a soft metal and known to strip out and slip. No problem to replace. Get a new wiper arm before beginning the procedure. Remove the rubber cover at the pivot and remove the nut securing the wiper arm. Pull the stripped wiper arm off and place the new one on in a horizontal and original position. Put the securing nut on and tighten it enough that it won't strip again, replace the rubber cover and done. See, NOOOOOOO problem.

Where are fuses for windshield washer pump on 2006 malibu

check the washer fluid level, if none in there then buy some and fill it. If that doesn't work avoid getting it dirty while driving and clean it every 100 miles or 100 days which ever comes first. If still a problem it could be the fuse which is located in the fuse box that the manual says it is.

2006 Malibu Maxx SS transmission.Only drives in M and reverse.

It might have gone into safe mode but I would have expected safe mode to permit the vehicle only into low and reverse but your car might be different. Is the problem accompanied by dashboard lights staying on that did not stay on before. I would say that this is definitely one for a garage mechanic as , padricularly if dash lights are on, it would need diagnostic equopment to identify the problem Good Luck

My check engine came on and dings 5 times what does that mean please

You'll need to have the engine computer scanned for codes , most auto parts stores will do that ! These newer cars can set hundreds of codes , for sensor to wiring and componet problems .

2006 Malibu Maxx SS transmission /engine issue

good afternoon and welcome to fixya
all right first of you you need to go and get a second opinion from another shop, i can tell you that you do not need another engine, sounds like a solenoid on the transmissionis not getting the proper pressure, these transmissions are very sensitive to fluid changes and pressures. i would take the vehicle to a well known transmission shop and not tell them that the dealership said you need a new engine. just tell them the problem your having and let them know that that is a new transmission, could just be fluid is a little low. good luck and let me know the outcome and ill try to help you more.
