If it is a push toggle switch (push for on, push again for off), yes they are very unreliable as it all relies on a spring and a contact. Easy to check with a multimeter. This is an old thread, however here are some tips: Time to get strut nuts off: 2/3 days because I needed a really strong (impact) 22mm socket - 6 point and a 60cm breaker bar. Time tot get *** old wheel bearing out: 2/3 days because I needed bearing press kit and it takes about 100Kg of force to turn the 60cm breaker bar to squeeze out the old bearing and you better make 100% sure you have lined up the bearing pushing things and the thing that collects the bearing the other end. Project bearing installation is now starting ;)

Connecting it to a scan tool will give you the answer in the form of codes, AKA DTC codes. The engine light is the clue, the scan tool tells the answers via the codes. All the codes are online. Chevy Aveo code P****

We've repaired 3 at our Chevy shop so far so you'll have to trust me when I say it's not for the faint of heart or for anyone without the special tools it takes to hold the cams in place. It is quite a job! Sorry!!

Not all cars are equipped with a block heater...in fact the vast majority of cars aren't...If you have one it is in the engine blocks cooling jacket, or it may be in the radiator hose. If you can locate a 3 prong electrical plug on the front of your Aveo, follow the cord back to the engine and you'll see where it is.

You should get a set of AC gauges so you can see what the pressures are because quite possibly the compressor is neutralized meaning it's not pumping and would need to be replaced... That is the most common problem associated with the system being full of freon and the compressor turning on but not blowing cold... If the gauges are reading the same pressure on both the low in the high sign with the compressor running that means it's neutralized and needs replaced...

Have you checked the fuses? when the wires were severed there is a good chance that they also shorted and blew the fuse.

light sensor is going bad..or bad light switch. Sensor are usually located in center of dash facing the windshield. Clean it first and see it that helps.

I think you should go for manual first after that it would be easy for you to solve your problem. I had visited this site past 2 months before for my vehicle and find it quite helpful may be you will also get something useful here chevrolet

Check the belt tentionier by pressing the belt with your finger if it goes by 1 inch and lose the nut belong to the alernator bracket

Are you looking from the trunk to the top of the rear deck? You are correct though in most factory installed audio systems, the size and quality of the speakers is unique and low quality. Generally any aftermarket speakers you buy will have to be bolted using holes that you drill in the deck. Also most car audio place will cut the deck with a saw in order to enlarge the holes for better sound. You may want to consider using POP rivets as fasteners for the new speakers because getting under the glass to use screws can be tough.

Oil filler cap - the point in your engine where you can refill or top up the engine oil. Be sure to use the right grade of oil. Check online or ask.

No point wondering - only examining the door internals will reveal why the latch doesn't work. Mostly it is the result of poor maintenance, the result of a maladjusted striker/hinges or a very dusty environment, though sometimes a spring will break...
