98 chevy lumina Rear window break light works, but rear break lights don't, also right turn don't work?

I can almost 100% guaranty the turn signal switch is the problem. Power for the brake lights starts at the brake switch. power then splits from there and the third brake light gets power directly from the brake switch. Since the turn signal and the brake lights are on the same bulb power for the brake lights is routed through the turn signal switch. the switch depending on what position it is in will allow brake power or turn signal power to there respective left or right brake/turn bulbs. If you hold your foot on the brake pedal and wiggle the turn signal and or play with the hazard switch the brake lights will almost always intermittently start to work. this will confirm a bad turn signal switch which is pretty common on GM vehicle with this style setup. 1998 Chevrolet Lumina LTZ electric accessory power flashes on and off. Sometimes go over a bump and it turns back on.

sounds like you may have a electrical connector that is not making a good connection, possible causes are loose connector-wiring is broken-wiring is over heating and the plastic is burned and /or the wiring pins are oxidized and dirty from heat .

I AM PUTTING ON NEW REAR STEEL BRAKE LINES FROM THE MASTER CYLINDER, TO THE REAR WHEELS ON MY 1998 CHEVY LUMINA. I NEED TO KNOW, DO THE TOP 2 OR LOWER 2 OUTLETS FEED THE REAR OF THE CAR?

Hi. I read your inquiry but I'm unsure of what your asking. The brake lines don't go straight to the brakes. What are you asking about "two upper and two lower"? These lines can not be confused. From the master, the two supply lines run to the ABS module. From the ABS module four different lines run out to each wheel. If your interested. eBay sells a complete pre-bent brake line kit. eBay Product Number: 3015274614 You could also call your local part store for availability or if you have the tools. You can save the money and bend them. I hope this helps. Please write back if you have any other information. Good Luck.

Slow start ups

Usually it is a fuel pump relay that does not supply a "prime cycle" when the key is first turned on.The fuel pump will get power when oil pressure is present, but you have to crank it a bit before oil pressure builds sending power to the pump only then and while it;s running. A bad temp sensor can cause slow starting also.

in diagnostics, your problem is called a "window". this kind of failures are annoying, both for the owner and the mechanic. the window will open and close randomly, and you need to be ready to see the fail and with all the tests you will do to find the cause, before the "window" closes. I suggest you identify what happened when your car stopped, in order to replicate as necessary to look for the culprit.

When I look up something in PARTS... and find them in bunches... Lots... New and IMPROVED... I know (in my heart)... the OEM (original equipment was pure trash... (garbage))... In my opinion you are lucky to be alive. I would simply advise you try another dealer... and then start ESCALATING... Let your fingers do the walking... START PHONING AROUND... Take good notes... These junior executives have to feel important too... and they cannot FIX what they do not know about. If you are up to a genuine CRUSADE ... Then try using the CUSTOMER ADVOCATE services of your local broadcast NEWS STATIONS... I think they like to tally community service points (I'm sure there even a GREAT story behind all that)... ELSE... BUREAU of Auto Repairs, small claims... (heck... the Supreme Court (if you have the time & $$$)). More Information for DORMAN 576358 More Information for PLATINUM PRO FTK010006 As for me...
