Look around crankshaft pulley there should be a electrical plug I think 3 wire in our around area if you have access to a lift you can get to it easier.

If it's like mine, the clear lens "rocks" on two pins to turn the light on and off. Two integrated clips on the white lens attach to the pins.

On the outboard side of the rocker switch/lens is a small slot for a screwdriver slot. You can see it if you use a really bright flashlight (LED or Surefire style.) CAREFULLY slip a blade in there and pry the lens off the pins that it rocks on. There is a pin on each side, and the lens has a clip on each side.

There is a plastic positioning "tongue" on the forward part of the lens that slides out as you ease the lens out of position. So don't just yank that critter out.

The guys at Auto Zone said the goofy bulb under there is propriety to Chrysler, so you'll have to get a new one from a dealer, apparently.

Mine was just scorched a bit, and turning it slightly had it working again. Then I carefully put the lens back in.

I would post a pic that would make this entirely self-explanatory, but they won't let me. Bulb is #578 and i got it at advance auto parts for $4. auto zone doesn't stock it

replace the input speed sensor to transmission and the wiring pigtail all are available at your chrysler dealer take your vehicle registration in to the parts counter so they have your vin # to get the right part and it is the front of trans by fluid linres to radiator.

sorry not sure the 12v prob will help this swtich works on 5v off 3v unlock 1v lock single wire lock/unlock logic signals

it is 2004 but use the wiring diagrams to test the wires
(most likely to fail where they flex)
because it is using logic gates disconnect the plug at each end of the wire you are testing or the damn thing will find a few diffrent ways to trick you.

Hook it up to a scanner and see what codes are in the system. Most part houses will check it at no charge but will not clear the code. Depending on what code is retrieved, depends on what you will do next. Some codes are soft codes that will not require immediate attention like small evap leak, while others will require immediate attention such as a p0302 which is a misfire on the number two engine cylinder.

could be a bad "ground", ground cable, or a short in a system. Possibly the voltage regulator is not recharging the battery when the vehicle is running or even as simple as battery connections are dirty and loose. Need professional electrical diagnosys

The device that turns the radiator fan on is a temperature sensor on the lower radiator hose towards the engine block. That could be the switch that you are referring to. When the coolant reaches a certain temperature it tells the radiator to turn on. The relay then sends the power to the fan.

Looking at a wiring diagram an using a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter an testing the electrical circuits is the proper way to diagnose , not just replacing parts . If you do not know this ,your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop. What engine ? 2.4 or 3.3 L .... Starter motor relay , PNP - park neutral position switch . The transmission is bad.

Take the compressor relay out and give power from there.

Security light. The logic, of the computer, thought the car had been stolen. You did the correct thing, using the remote. Very well done. Now, to find out why the light was on. A lot of vehicles will sense a loss of electrical power and then the computer sees the power come back. This triggers the anti theft system to prevent a thief from starting the car. Using the remote, resets this. Now, have your battery cables cleaned. Obviously there is an issue when cranking the car, that is causing a low voltage issue. Hope this helps.

Sounds like that key has worn out or it's bend a little and not making any contact with the tumbler.

Do you know anything about electronic's ? Automotive electronic's take more of a beating , hitting bump's , pot holes ,curbs etc. Enough to jar even the best built electronic componets . Chrysler products have had solder joint's crack , causing intermittent connection problems , could be loose fitting electrical connection's etc.... There is a microprocessor with logic programmed into it , inside the instrument cluster , the gauges ,warning light's are all controlled by modules . The gauges get their info from the PCM/ECM - engine computer over what is called a serial data network , are you familiar with these . The PCI data bus is what it is called . NO Communication issues on 2003 Dodge 1500 trucks is best fixed using... Probably the best thing to do would be to have the whole vehicle scanned for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's . Not at a part's store , they can not read codes in the instrument cluster , BCM - body control module etc. You could probably check power an ground connections for the IPC , Looking at a wiring diagram so you know which wire's to check . YOu should be able to tell if coolant leaks caused the coil pack to fail. I believe it is 2 issues.

You may have an issue with the directional signal switch in the steering column. Power to this goes thru that switch. It usually required removing the steering wheel to gain access to correct. You may not want to tackle this yourself unless you have a manual and the proper tools. I had to buy a special too to remove the gear selector to gain access. Only used it twice and had to get it from a Snap-On mobile truck salesman. What a pain!

Lots of possibilities from a bad solenoid pack to a broken gear or blown internal seal. No way you're gonna DIY your way out of this. Get it to a shop.

i dont know much about this engine and electrical problem but ive been looking around and found there are a lot of problems with this model this web site will tell you the list of complaints. 2002 Dodge Caravan problems I could be the IPM or a series of problems that have happened at the same time IE an electrical fault that could be an earthing problem (check engine bay earths) weak fuse holder or faulty fuse. fuses when heat up or old can become detached when they get hot and then when they cool down connect again. you would not see this as the fuse would look normal. it could also be a sensor and it will shut the engine down to stop further damage or environmental harm. these are co sensors cam/crank these if they have a fault will stop engine from running if they are weak or damaged co sensor it could be the heater is working inside but the signal is wrong but this also send info to the ecu to control the fuel and air mix and the air mix sensor is MAF this is on the intake for the air. if this fails it can stop engine. but also an ecu problem would result in this fault as well, electrics to the instrument panel this could be a damaged ignition switch (were key is inserted) or the relay if the fault happens and you dont hear a click when the ignition is turned on not started or it buzzes it will be the relay. the relay can go in 3 ways the relay works but does not have a good contact inside, the relay is working but the magnet is not catching (causes buzzing) or the relay is weak and works but over heats and disconnects this will turn the instruments panel off and can cause flickering. also turn the engine off. hope these help you locate the problem .
