Videos is the easy way.

That tends to point to an issue with the BCM and its data network. You need an auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer to diagnose the issue as it is a strange one.

1-5-3-6-2-4 I'm going to completely assume that the GMC envoy, based on what I can gather, uses the old 235 Chevy (50's) design, since it reduced balance issues, and therefore, this would be the right sequence.

You can't, that only happens in old movies. Your immobilizer works with a chip in the key transmitting a code to the transponder in the ignition column which sends the code to the engine computer, the body control computer, the transmission computer and the ignition module. They all have a chat about it and then decide if they will let the car have power to the ignition and fuel pump. This all happens fast between the ignition lighting up and turning the starter motor. no such thing , vents yes, ATF line yes , vacuum no. wires yes. only super old transmissions use vacuum modulators let me guess you see to hoses an assume vacuum? the metal in pair is tranny cooles the service manual covers this. 2003 GMC Envoy 4,2 2wd' gas 4L60E TRANSMisson shifts by TCM computer, totally. no vacuum modulator there ever. learn to follow line the other direction to the cooler (2 kinds)

For the I6 engine there is a relay for low beams, it's relay # 46. Switch it with relay #45 (runs the fan, same model relay) and see if your lights now come on. These 2 relays are the only 2 black ones in there (part # 15016745). Also, try to clean the contacts very well on the fuse box and the relay. If not, you may have some frayed wiring in the harness.

By the way, the high beam relay is #43, the gray one next to the windshield wiper relay #42.

Try giving the starter a whack with a hammer or end of broomstick if it tries or goes, replace the starter

dis-connect both battery cables from the battery. Touch them together and re-connect them to the battery. remember disconnect both, don't be lazy and only disconnect one.

Reduced engine power is a problem with the electronic throttle control . You need to have a scan tool hooked up to read codes stored . REDUCED ENGINE POWER: Refer to Powertrain Control Module Description in Engine Controls - 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L Reduced Engine Power Mode When the PCM detects a problem with the throttle actuator control (TAC) system the PCM enters one of the following Reduced Engine Power Modes: • Acceleration Limiting--The control module will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control, however the vehicle acceleration is limited. • Limited Throttle Mode--The control module will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control, however the maximum throttle opening is limited. • Throttle Default Mode--The control module will turn off the throttle actuator. • Forced Idle Mode--The control module will perform the following actions: - Limit engine speed to idle by positioning throttle position, or by controlling fuel and spark if throttle is turned off. - Ignore accelerator pedal input. • Engine Shutdown Mode--The control module will disable fuel and de-energize the throttle actuator.

Hi Teresa, I recently had the same problem as my wife's envoy wouldn't start and shift out of park so I could tow it home. You have to remove the shift nob and center console to access the silver button on the bottom right side of the shifting mechanism, but before your center console will lift out of position there are several screws under cup holder rubber mats and the rubber mats inside the center console.

the noise is telling you the emergency brake is on (or it thinks it is) emergency brakes don't use any fluids as they are totally mechanical on your truck , id first try setting the brake and then releasing it again , if this still doesn't clear the light on then id have your mechanic look at it , might require an adjustment id be cautious in driving it if theres any possibility that brake is dragging as this will severely overheat your brakes requiring you to replace them early

Well, the problem is that I dont know the reason, you should investigate. There could be issues with lamps (must get new) or electricity problems (must head to auto-service)

The 4.2 I6 doesn't have one.

The main fuse block is under the hood in plain view. It has a black plastic cover and will have the word fuse on it. Pull the cover off (some have a single bolt, some you push in tabs). It is the #15 fuse. I tried to upload a pic but there is an issue with the site. There are a lot of pictures online. Hope that helps
