the fan relay is activated from the ECM which gets the message from the coolant temperature sensor to switch the fans on ( more than likely the problem) they should be running at 85 c or well before 212 F so check fuses (2) for failure and check for power to the relay as well to check if the fans are spinning freely the fan relay will have an emblem on the cover and be situated next to the battery in the big block of relays

on this old car there are 2 ways. pull battery neg lug. pull ECU, memory fuse, (see FSM)

how about the fuel pump you inspect it already ?measure fuel pump pressure for standard value

jshuffman: Believe it or not your ignition module (located behind the coil packs) could be the problem. If your cooloing fans are not working either, this is the culprit. The worst part is that it won't always show a code on the old obd 1 systems. This module controls more than you think along with the computer on this type of car. Good luck. Hope this helps. P.S. Air conditioning will quit working too.

Some fuses will not have power, until that circuit is being used. What circuit is it?

No GM doesn't use a reset switch (really called a "Inertia fuel pump cutoff switch"). The fuel pump is cut off by an oil pressure sensor. If this car has the original pump you likely just need to drop the fuel tank and replace the fuel pump. Does it start if you spray starting fluid into the engine air intake?
