What kind of freon does my 1988 olds 88 take?
It will be difficult to find (not to mention expensive) the required refrigerant for your year car. I suggest taking the car to a mechanic to have this serviced. But if you want to DIY then go to auto parts store and get the r134 conversion kits. Note: the freon in your car is hazardous material and need to be properly disposed of.
Why does my right rear tire lock up?
I to would suspect the emergency/parking brake. Many times because of non use of the EM brake system the cable seizes and when it comes time to change brake shoes they cause problems. There is a flat bar that is part of the self adjuster/parking brake system that might need to be removed to prevent this problem.
97 olds 88 runs rough first few seconds, when you shut it off it will not crank. Had the ignition control module tested and says that it is good. Any ideas?
Will not crank how ? When you turn the key to the start position does the starter engage and spin the engine ? , A crank no start condition . Or nothing happens . A no crank - no start condition . I assume by your statement ( Had ignition control module tested ) That you have a crank no start condition . in which case have you tested input from the crank sensors to the ICM and PCM . What engine does your Old's have ? 3.8 L
Is there spark at the coil's ? Pull plug wires off of the same coil , have someone crank the engine over , Is there a spark jumping from one coil tower to the other ? If so , you don't have an ignition problem , fuel more then likely . Is your SECURITY light lit on the instrument cluster , if it has anti-theft .

When you say it wants to turn over do you mean the engine just won't turn over at all, or just will not start. If it is the second it can be the timing belt? You have to be careful if it is the belt as in some cases the piston can hit the valves.
Quad driver module computer circuit #2 fault ?
I will start by pinout check current + to ECM and - ground there is many .
A Quad driver work like a big fuse d?pends some are resettable and other not reset(ECM defect) if it is so then you have to check all solenoid not short to ground before replacing ECM it will burn without checking the solenoid

Why does moter blower wire from ac gets hot ?
motor is probly old and drawin tumuch currant--or wire has alota resistence or corrosion-------if u dont git this fixd then the ac fan switch will soon burn out--replacin motor is not easy-need a shop book and take the dash out--inspect heater core and ac evaporator while in there to save $$--old car-----enjoy
I have a Mitsubishi lancer 2000 and have taken the
4 cylinder, firing order normally 1342. Take off distributer cap, set engine with number 1 cylinder on top of compression stroke. you may have to take out the number one plug, turn moter by hand and feel for compression with finger on hole. Look where distributer rotor is pointing and match with distributer cap. That will give you #1 lead position. Follow around cap in rotor direction and you will get the rest.
6 cylinder normally 123456. same story.
if you still have the old leads, they are sometimes marked and normally different lengths. if you lucky, and replace them, you can sometimes pick up which went where by the bends left in them over time. Then start again and mark them. I normally replace leads one at a time. Safer and easier. Or Photograph them with cell.
