Power door locks and driver side power window not working

The solution to this issue was recently discovered during our most recent trip to the shop. We told them not to leave the window down when they changed the battery... BUT DID THEY LISTEN...NOOOO.

So quite by accident I was finally able to correct and then test fail the system and test and fix again...

Here you go.;
1. disconnect the battery and connect both the positive and negative cables together(after disconnected))
2. disconnect the window and lock controller in the driver's side door.
3. Leave cables connected for at least 5 minutes
4. Re-connect door window controller and locks wiring harness
5. Place the key in the ignition and turn to the run position
6. Connect Battery starting with the negative cable(ensuring not to connect then disconnect, (one swift motion)
7. open drivers side door and turn key to the off position(do not remove)
8. You should hear a series of dings
9 Once dings are heard remove the key from the ignition and you should hear the door lock solenoids activate..
10. Congrats.. Your done and the windows and locks work.

05 colorado chimes when open door. drains battery until i pull radio fuse

Audible Warnings Description and Operation The audible warnings alert the driver of a system concern or a critical vehicle condition. The instrument panel cluster (IPC) generates audible warnings through an internal acoustic speaker. The IPC receives audible warning requests via the serial data circuit. If the IPC receives multiple audible warning requests, the warning with the highest priority sounds first. The following lists the audible warning priority and the pulse rate: Fast rate chime (200 pulses per minute) Medium rate chime (150 pulses per minute) Slow rate chime (50 pulses per minute) Single chime Door Ajar Warning The IPC activates the door ajar audible warning as requested by the body control module (BCM). The BCM sends a serial data message to the IPC indicating the chime frequency and duration. The door ajar warning sounds and the appropriate DOOR AJAR indicator illuminates in the driver information center (DIC) when the following occurs: • The body control module (BCM) determines that a door, driver door, passenger door. The IPC receives a serial data message from the BCM indicating the door ajar status. • The vehicle is not in park. The IPC receives a serial data message from the BCM indicating the gear position. • The vehicle speed is greater than 8.05 km/h (5 MPH). The IPC uses the vehicle speed information from the ECM to calculate the vehicle speed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chime Always On Step Action Yes No Schematic Reference: Audible Warnings Schematics Connector End View Reference: Master Electrical Component List in Wiring Systems 1 Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle? Reduced power code comes up and my truck stalls.

I had the same problem, and the solution was cleaning the throttle body, it does need to be completely removed to be cleaned thoroughly. I just used some brake cleaner on a rag to clean off all the carbon deposits. A friend of mine who is a dealer tech had only seen this trouble code once, and this was the solution. So far, my light has not come back on and the truck is running alot better at idle.

When I turn on the a/c it works for a little while then shuts off, what do I do

You need to have the system tested. It sounds like it is either low on refrigerant or there is a blockage in the system causing too much pressure and the system being disabled by the high pressure switch.

Mis fires

The engine in your car is designed to run smoothly with maximum power output and produce as minimal emissions as possible. When your car's engine is not performing properly it can cause, low gas mileage, low power output, increased emissions and possible internal engine damage if left untreated. This troubleshooting guide is designed to isolate the malfunctioning cylinder and troubleshoot to repair the problem. Before we start we need to know one of two things; is the engine running poorly at idle only and seems to be ok under power? Or does the engine run fine and it's just the engine idle condition that is the problem. If your engine is idling rough please visit, engine misfires at idle If your engine cranks over but won't start visit engine wont start. If your engine won't crank over visit engine wont crank over. If your engine is running rough all of the time or intermittently you are in the right place. Below we have created a guide to aid diagnoses and repair procedure for most common rough engine running problems.

  • Step 1: Anytime you have a problem with electronically controlled components such as an engine, transmission, ABS brake, or SRS (supplemental restraint system, air bag) inspect all fuses in the under hood power distribution center and under dash fuse panels using a test light. If all fuses test ok continue to the next step.
  • Step 2: To check for problems with electronically controlled components such as an engine, transmission, ABS brake, or SRS (supplemental restraint system) and the fuses test ok a trouble code scan is needed to identify any system trouble. Use a simple scanner tool to retrieve trouble codes and check if they relate to the specific problem, like an ignition coil failure code. If a trouble code is present but does not pertain to the immediate problem like an EVAP code ignore it until a later time, after the engine is running properly. The reason we repair non-related codes after the engine is running properly is because sometime false codes can be triggered by a rough running engine. Once the engine is running properly the code present might cycle and turn itself off. You might say "if the engine isn't running right shouldn't it have a check engine light and a trouble code?" Sometimes conditions occur that will not be detected by the computer, example: if the intake or exhaust valve operation fails the computer cannot detect the failure because the problem is not sensor related, so the engine doesn't run smooth and the computer thinks everything is ok with no codes. If the trouble code retrieved relates to a cylinder misfire like an injector driver or ignition coil failure first repair these problems then re-test system. If no trouble codes are present proceed to the next step.

I have 2005 chevy colorada with the 2.8 4 cyl it started running bad all of the sudden check engine came on started rough idle. got the codes read got these 0014 cam sensor,0017crank sensor,101 mass a

My guess is it's a timing chain problem, especially if it has a lot of miles (140K +) That model engine is notorious for bad timing chains. I have the same engine and basically have had the same problem. Have a friend with one ('07) - same problem. It's a pretty expensive problem to repair. Labor (by the Flat-Rate manual) is in the 14hr range plus parts. Used engines with low mileage (60K) are rare and around $2K when you find one.
