My 2005 Chevy Cobalt Ls

If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the spark plugs. If you have spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure. Also, check fuel injector pulse. Check everything with engine cranking. If your missing all three, check your crank sensor. Can you check applicable trouble codes? If your saying the starter motor won't even crank the engine, that is a different issue?

I replaced the TCM in my 2005 Chevy colbolt, light come on but car won't start, turn key and anti theft icon comes on but doesn't stay on

TCM ? transmission control module ? Did you have it programmed ? Reprogram the TCM. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information. Transmission Control Module Programming and Setup The transmission control module (TCM) must be programmed with the proper software/calibrations. Ensure that the following conditions exist in order to prepare for TCM programming: • The battery is fully charged. • The ignition switch is in the RUN position. • The Techline equipment cable connection at the data link connector (DLC) is secure. Program the TCM using the latest software matching the vehicle. Refer to up-to-date Techline equipment user instructions. If the TCM fails to program, proceed as follows: 3.1. Ensure that the TCM connection is OK. 3.2. Inspect the Techline equipment for the latest software version. 3.3. Attempt to program the TCM. If the TCM still cannot be programmed properly, replace the TCM.

How many O2 sensors does a 2005 Chevy Cobalt base model 4 cylinder have

Oxygen sensors are identified by bank and sensor position. Sensor 1 is always pre catalytic converter, sensor two is always post catalytic converter. If an engine is a 4 or 6 cylinder engine the whole engine is considered bank 1, if an engine is a V6, V8, V10....., the engine bank containing cylinder number 1 (first cylinder in the firing order) is considered Bank 1, the other bank is considered Bank 2. Interpretation Oxygen sensor designation B2S1 refers to Bank 2 Sensor 1, it will be the sensor on the engine side of the catalytic converter in bank two. Check this link to determine the cylinder that contains cylinder number 1. http://www.wellsve.com/custom_searches/ds_firing.php Wells Search Parts Catalog

I can not get me chevy 2005 colbalt to go into gear , recently it has been going crazy with the locks going up and down how do i get this into gear?

Sorry but your best bet is to take your car to a qualified repair shop > The locks going crazy is more then likely a BCM - body control module problem , same with not being able to put the car in gear. There are probably DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes stored in the BCM . You have no idea of the level of complexity of your vehicle , It could be a door ajar switch in put to the BCM . A software problem etc...

How to fix code po455 on 2005 cobalt

I researched this and found the following information. Hope it helps: P0455 means a gross leak detected in the Evaporative Emissions System. Some call this a "gas cap" code, because the most common cause a loose or failed gas cap. But it could be caused by any vapor leak in the fuel tank, filler neck, or anywhere else in the vapor management system. If it isn't a gas cap, you will need tol take it someplace where they have a smoke machine that can find the leak using smoke.

My husband replaced my fuel lines by the instructions in the Haynes book and the info that came with the lines . Now my car will not start .

That seems like the fuel pump. Turn the key to on but don't turn it over, and see if you hear a buzzing sound near the back of the car. If not then your fuel pump is bad. If you do hear it then try to purge your fuel bar under the hood it should have what looks like a valve stem an the top of the motor. Just put a screw driver in it til you see gas while the key is in on Position. If this doesn't work then you'll need a mechanic

07 cobalt pulls to left

A few things you can try, if you already haven't.

1. Insure that both front tires are a match. ( doesn,'t necessarily need to be the same brand, but if you have a, P 215/70 R15 on the driver's side front, you want to make sure you have the same tire size on the passenger side. This applies to those who purchase used tires. )
Also, look very closely for even wear on both tires.

2. Make sure that both front tires have the same amount of air pressure. ( Your tire size and iar pressure recommendations should be on the driver's side door jamb, or, some have it on the inside of the fuel door.)

3. Stand on the driver's side of the car, put your hands on the hood and use your whole body to push down several times to see how your shock on that side responds, how much does it move?, now check the passenger side to insure they both respond similarly, if not, you may have a bad shock/strutt.

There are other components under the front end that could cause this issue, but, if you've already had the alignment checked the technician should have already checked them.

I hope this helps.
