2006 Chevy Colorado. I just lost my truck ignition key! How can I start it without a key?

You can't. The security system and immobilizer is there to stop EXACTLY what you are trying to do, start the car without the key and security code credentials. Your local dealership with make you a key based on the VIN Number. Then you have to reset the security system. Or you can try a local mobile locksmith. Or find the key. If you lost the key in the snow, look up 'Ring Finders', a global network of metal detectorists that find lost rings and keys.

I have a 2006 Chevy Colorado. I have a hard time

Define "won't start." Do you mean the starter motor won't crank the engine? Engine cranks but won't fire up? Fires up but dies?

Locating turn signal relay on 2006 Chevrolet Colorado. I can here it but can't find it

Your hearing it coming from the diver side front speaker . There is no relay , the BCM - body control module makes the turn signals work . What problem are you having ? Turn Signal Lamps The FRT TRN/HAZ/CRTSY/MIRR/CARGO and REAR TURN/HAZ fuses in the underhood fuse block supplies battery positive voltage to the body control module (BCM). When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left or right position, a signal is sent to the BCM to illuminate the desired turn signal lamps. The BCM has an internal flasher that sends an ON-OFF voltage signal to either the left or right turn signals and their instrument panel cluster (IPC) indicator. When the hazard switch is pressed, a separate ground signal is sent to the BCM to activate and flash all turn signal lamps including both IPC turn indicators. The front and rear turn signals are grounded at G105. The IPC illuminates the TURN SIGNAL ON indicator in the driver information center (DIC) when the IPC determines that the turn signal is active for more than 1.2 km (0.75 mi). The BCM sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate the audible warning. Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop.

2006 Chevy Colorado. I think my timing jumped. I went to start then I heard something popped from drive on the side under the hood. I notice the crankshaft sensor was not connected.

Question edited for clarity. Question moved the Colorado sub-category. I wonder is you picked something up and the serpentine belt whipped the stick or whatever and disconnected the crankshaft position sensor. Can you reconnect it and start the vehicle?

2006 Colorado: Headlights will not turn on. All other lights work. Including high beam indicator.

Hello. It seems your Chevrolet has either faulty headlamp relay(s) or its headlamps are connected in series; if one don't light, neither will the other one. I can't explain why the 'CHECK ENGINE' light was still on while your truck's engine was off and key was out of ignition switch. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.

My 06 Colorado 4-cyl will not turn over.

This sounds like it could be a faulty starter motor. The 'click' is the solenoid switch engaging but the motor itself isn't moving. You'll need to swap out the starter and the solenoid as they are one single unit. Changing them isn't complicated. 1 small wire connector, 1 large wire connector and 2 bolts holding it onto the engine block. The hard bit is actually getting to it to swap it out. They are often jammed into tight inaccessible places where you will lose the skin off three knuckles and one elbow getting it out.

2006 chevy colorado passlock comes on and stays

No, it can not be disabled.
The theft system is indicating a short term theft issue.
Have you added any "after market" remote start systems or alarms?
If NO.
Insert the key in the ignition, turn the key to run position ( do not start ) and leave it in that position for 10 minutes. Cycle the key to LOCK position, count to 10, then turn the key back to run position and leave on for 10 more minutes. After the 10 minutes is up, repeat the procedure (1) more time and the security system will relearn the PASS code.
Give it a try and let me know.
Regards,

The ignition switch should be located at the lower part of the steering column and is actuated by the key cylinder. It is difficult to replace (made hard for thieves to get at it).

06 chevy colorado 3.5 enginge misfire cyc.#2, changed coil pk & plugs. & found oil in around 3 plug wells & on plugs too. After changing coil pk & plugs it still miss fires & check engine light not only stays on, it blinks when driving down road.

plugs are always the last to suspect when there are misfires It is most likely injector problem from low fuel pressure , dirty injector tips , injector wiring and harness or ECM problems

My heater motor only works on high

A bad blower moter resistor can cause the blower to default to high speed only. The resistor is
located behind the lower right side of the dash on the heater box just left of the blower moter.
The fan switch can also cause this problem, but more often then not it's a bad resistor.
Hope this helps.
