Emissions to high for annual test
your garage is full of idiots. Ok, they replaced all those parts and no improvement. Make 'em put all the parts back and get a refund. They can't diagnose the problem so they're just replacing parts and hoping for the best. Now, if they replace enough parts, you'll end up with a brand new old car and it should run correctly. But, you don't list a problem, so I can't offer a solution. Could be the whole problem. If you didn't tell the shop what's wrong either, yeah....just replace stuff and pray. Praying works on German cars btw, because the pope is German and Jesus now loves German cars. Go to church, Pray, and write back with a specific problem that a bmw mechanic can help you with.
Gauge temperature
Your description of the problem is not very clear. It seems as if your temp gauge does not work, or does not indicate the correct temperature.
If you disconnect the wire from the sensor unit and put it to battery negative (ground), the gauge should move to the full hot position. If this does not happen the best chance is that the gauge does not work. If it does work, the sensor is faulty. In a very unlikely situation, the wire could be faulty..
Rpm and acceleration problem
throttle sensor fault. might be cleanable if removed. also could be a damaged idle valve, might be staying open this cal also give high revs. and tap and it will go down as its sticking. acceleration is the throttle sensor i may have blank spots. removing it and spraying in the switch breather hole and shake the cleaner around and turning it at the same time should clean the sensor. then shake and leave to drain out the cleaner. idle valve you will need to remove it and clean ti with some carb cleaner and a brush like toothbrush, clean it thorley out push the pin in and out to make sure its not sticking at same time spray it. then when clean leave to dry. then refit them. hope this helps
