Hello I have a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 2WD
Sounds like it might be a damaged rear end. Chock the wheels or put rear differential on jack stands and put vehicle in neutral then by hand turn the drive line back and forth and see if there is any loud noise when u do. There should not be a lot of play. if on jack stand you can also turn one of the rear wheels and see if there is any load noises or excessive play
2007 chevy silverado brake lights dont work
I had the same problem! I used a piece of wood to keep the break pedal depressed and then started to remove one of the break lamps and to my surprise it came on! Same thing on the other side. So I did not seat (bottom out) the lamps in their sockets and both break light are now working properly. I had a similar issue last spring but that time only one light was out. I put in a new bulb and it still did not work so I messed around with it a little more and it started working. Never did figure it out until now. Hope this helps!

Where is my speed sensor for my 2007 silverado 1500
code p 0700 refers to transmission control system/MIL---malfunction==== causes --TCM---wiring
check all connections and wiring condition or replace the TCM
code p 0717 refers to turbine shaft speed (TSS) sensor ---no signal====causes ---wiring---TSS sensor---ECM/TCM
logically the TSS reports to the TCM to facilitate ratio changes so if the wiring , connections etc are not good then one will affect the other
Take it to an accredited auto transmission specialist shop, have it properly diagnosed and a quote
do not confuse a TSS with a VSS sensor as they are two different speed sensors in the same box
