You must get the engine control computer scanned for fault codes, this is the first thing that must be done before any diagnostics can be done to find the problem that has put the engine in "LIMP" mode.

Pull the drl relay in underhood fuse box. See if that does it? Just make sure all your lamps still work. I don't know if that would turn on a check engine lamp or set a code?

Hello Delissa, The first thing to check is your battery. If you have dash lights that doesn't confirm your battery has enough of a charge to turn the engine over. Is the dash light your SES (Service Engine Soon) light? If so...diagnostics can be accessed via a OBDII code reader and provide a starting point to trouble shoot any registered faults. (Some automotive parts stores offer free code retrieval.)

It will depend on why it is locked in place. Pull the spark plugs and check for water, also drain the oil and check for water. If this is the case the engine was hydro locked which usually means a bent crank rod and complete rebuild or replacement will be required. Sorry!
