IM having trouble with my nissan narva d22
Is this a new key as well? On a lot of modern vehicles the vehicle's electronics need to be told that there is a new ignition key and ignition barrel fitted. This will need to be done through the OBD connector under the dashboard. If it is not done the vehicle immobiliser won't turn off as it doesn't recognise the key you are using.
1997 Nissan Terrano 2.7 - changed battery. - won't start - but turning over
You will probably have to reset the ECU as it thinks the vehicle may be stolen and shuts the fuel supply off.
I always plug a motorbike battery with a cigar lighter plug on it, to keep the electronics live whist changing the battery.
It keeps 12volts on the system and avoids this sort of thing from happening.
HOW TO TAKE OUT NISSAN 1400 2007 PICK UP
STEERING BOX. DO I NEED TO TAKE OUT ENGINE
Taking out the steering box in a Nissan 1400 2007 pickup truck involves a few steps, and you do not need to remove the engine to access the steering box. Here is a general guide on how to remove the steering box:
1. **Disconnect the battery**: Always disconnect the battery before working on any components in the engine bay.
2. **Raise the front of the vehicle**: Use a jack to lift the front of the vehicle and secure it with jack stands for safety.
3. **Remove the wheels**: Take off the front wheels to access the steering components.
4. **Disconnect the steering column**: Inside the cabin, detach the steering column from the steering box.
5. **Disconnect the tie rod ends**: Remove the tie rod ends connected to the steering box.
6. **Remove the steering box mounting bolts**: Locate and remove the mounting bolts that hold the steering box in place
2006 Nissan Xterra Security Issue
Is the security light lit up on the dash at all? What happens if you try to start the vehicle without unlocking the driver door with the key?Lastly, have you ever replaced the battery on your key fob? When their batteries get low, they can cause various problems that resemble mechanical faults or security problems.
My partners 2009 Nissan Navara wont start. It makes a clicking sound but just wont start. It also has recently started overheating.
The car does have alot of km's 399,000km's.
If the battery is OK the next thing to check is the starter motor itself. It usually shows as a single click or lots of fast clicks?
For the overheating, how long after you start the engine does it start to overheat? If it takes a while, usually as the engine starts to get up to working temperature, the first thing to check is the thermostat. This is the most common thing to fail especially on higher mileage engines. Do this first as it's the cheapest fix.
Next check the serpentine/Auxillary belt. A worn or damaged belt can slip slowing the pump down. This can also show as battery charging issues.
Another cause of overheating is the waterpump failing. This can commonly be heard as a whine, chirp, or a squealing noise especially on a cold start. It can also often, but not always, be see below the pump as staining from it leaking.
My power windows randomly roll
I will tell you the cause but some don't want to hear the answer or will swear they are not doing it.
If the Intelligent Key fob is placed in a pocket, back pocket, purse or tight pants and (within range of the car) something presses against the unlock button for 3 seconds the windows will go down. Once the 3 second thresh hold is reached the windows start down. They will continue to go to fully open unless the button is released. In other words, the windows can be opened anywhere from a crack to fully open.
Try it. Take the Intelligent Key fob and walk within range of the car. Stop. Hold the unlock button down for 3 seconds and watch what happens. The windows start down.
If the car is re-locked using the Intelligent Key fob the windows remain down. You have to physically go and turn on the ignition and raise the windows.
Front window operation with the Intelligent Key can be found on page 3-22 middle column near the bottom of the 2007 Nissan Murano manuel.
