I need help with my 2004 GMC envoy XUV rear door
I wouldn't be so sure it's a bad motor. There are several limit switches in the tailgate that have to show made before the roof will be allowed to move. You really need a GM computer to work on one to be able to see in real time what switch is and which one isn't made causing the fault.

2004 GMC Envoy: How can I fix the jammed sunroof?
How exactly is it 'jammed'? Is it wide open? Locked closed? stuck half way? Please use the Comment button below if you would like more help.
Go back to the basics. Check the fuse for the motor and you that you can here the motor trying move it. With the ignition OFF and safely using step ladders access the sunroof from above. Using a stiff toothbrush, cotton buds, (cue tips), and a clean rag, clean out the channels the sunroof sits in.
if you are in any doubt go to a good mechanic or a good auto-electrician and get them to look at the problem.
I am having wiper issues with my 97 Yukon.
The little black box under the hood, near the wiper motor box is the chip board that controls them...wack it...sometimes it's just a broken weld and the connection to the wiper motor control doesn't work.
My 2007 gmc just stopped running one day so i replaced the starter and im stillvhaving the same problem. it wont even turn over
Hi,
Try moving the shift lever in and out of gear and back to Park then try it. Have you tried starting the truck with the shifter in Neutral? If it turns over and starts, I would check the Neutral Safety Start Switch and it's connection down under on the side of the transmission? If you are experiencing lights and dashboard indicators coming on when inserting the key in the ignition but zero response from the solenoid on the starter or the starter turning over when turning the key switch to the start position, I would definitely check the Neutral Safety Start Switch. This switch is the one that allows you to start the vehicle by making sure you are in Park or Neutral. It's in a location on the side of the transmission where salt, sand and corrosive road debris can get trapped that eats away at wires and connections.
