A nice simple answer, you can't. Think of it this way, the car doesn't know you are the owner, and it is there to stop exactly what you are trying to do. You have two computer ECM and BCM, plus the antitheft module and a number of sensors all trying to stop you. All you have to do is the re-learn procedure. Plan B is an auto electrician or alarm / radio installer or auto locksmith. 30 Minute Re-Learn Procedure

1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
2. Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON (vehicle will not start).
3. Observe the SECURITY telltale, after approximately 10 minutes the telltale will turn OFF.
4. Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds .

Not sure what you mean 'where is the best place to put it'? The scan tool tells you which one needs replacing by a P**** Code, or are you just replacing one for fun? Answered here on JustAnswer dot com The o2 sensors are located in the exhaust pipe. The one you are looking for is the post cat sensor. It's inline in the exhaust system. You'll see one on each bank of the engine before the catalytic converter and one or two behind the converter. It's fairly easy to change, get your hands on an O2 sensor socket and get an OEM GM replacement sensor, don't cheap out or you'll be asking for trouble.

NEW BEARING PRELOAD SHOULD BE 20-25 INCH POUNDS. USED BEARING PRELOAD TORQUE 10 - 15 INCH POUNDS.

The firing is 1 3 4 2. From the front of engine to the back, the cylinders are numbered 1 2 3 4. Cylinders 1 and 4 are on the same coil pack. Cylinders 2 and 3 are the other coil pack.

Sounds like the problem that I had with my '94 chev sub k1500, twice! The first time it was due to a blown fuse. Now I carry a spare 20A fuse when I go off-road. The second time the electrically controlled/heated, fluid filled actuator mounted on the front diff failed. I now carry a spare actuator when I go off-road. the actuator is powered when the switch on the top of the transmission is energized. I have had no problems with that switch, or the connecting wiring.

The simplest solution here is to have the ignition barrel replaced. There is so much electronics involved in a modern cars bypassing (hot wiring) the ignition can just cause more problems and usually expensive ones. The barrels themselves aren't that expensive and any good auto electrician should be able to fit and code the keys for it. Sadly it's the fitting that could be the expensive bit.
