The idler arm is sold as a unit with new bushings on each end. To remove it you will need to remove the castle nut from the tie rod and then using a splitting fork separate the unit from the tie rod. Then remove the bolts holding it onto the frame.

First check for fuel and Spark. Also check for the security light flashing in the dashboard. The immobilizer system will kill the spark and fuel injectors

If it started after the pads and rotors were changed, check for bent backing plates rubbing on the rotor.

Your battery is dead. Why it is dead is another investigation. Is it getting charged? If not the alternator could be gone.
Charge the battery, or if it is 6+ years old, replace the battery, charge, and then test.
If it runs ok with a charged battery, but the battery keeps running down, then it is likely the alternator or something in the charging circuit.

OK, now we know you have checked the battery. The door locks not opening and the relay failing to pull up means they are not getting enough juice. So if it's not the battery, then its something else in the electrical system. Because two completely separate systems (locks, starter/relay) are affected, it is something common to both of them. But go ahead and check the fuses anyway. Also check all electrical connections (Battery and other) for corrosion or looseness

Before you go running down the rabbit hole, i.e. reprogramming key fobs, replacing the Lift Gate Module, removing body panels looking for broken wires; do two things:
1.) Open every door and slam it shut.
2.) Almost every auto parts store has a key fob test station, verify the key fob is transmitting.
Those two simple steps will solve it most of the time. If not... I hope you like carrots.

It is possible you have a poor radio connection, if you are trying to listen to radio. You can try to straighten your antenna or free it if it is tucked under a windshield.

There isn't much you can do unless you are willing to jack it up and remove the wheel.

It might not be brake related, though the chances are it is. The ABS light is on because the system has discovered a fault and a locked up brake wouldn't usually register as a fault so you have to be open to the possibility something else has gone wrong and that means gaining access and using the evidence of an experienced pair of eyes with some initial hands-on checks.

What do you mean , tries to start ? When you turn the key to start what happens ? Starter clicks , starter spins the engine around . Doesn't start an run . ,what ? Now it just so happens that your vehicle does not have a relay switch . Does the car have automatic trans . or manual ? Power from the ignition switch goes through the park neutral position switch to the starter solenoid S terminal for auto trans , An through the clutch pedal position switch for a manual trans .

Your best bet , have a qualified repair shop check it out .

Open the hood while motor is cooling and grab fan blade if it spins really freely you need a new one. Provide you have a fan clutch, and not an electronic fan motor sorry just have to put it out there some folks mistake a electric fan for a clutch fan. Clutch fans are designed with a spring on the front of them, that tightens and forces the fan to pull more air into the engine compartment and when your fan clutch is working well you can hear the whine they make when in hot days with lots of traffic and you may see a little difference in temp but probably not enough to notice

As far as I know, the engines are basically identical on the outside. The problem with engine swapping on these computer-controlled cars is, you also have to change the computer since each engine has a computer programmed for that particular engine. This often requires not only changing the computer but also changing wiring harnesses to match. In short, the engines will most likely swap but it is the computer that makes the difference.

Chevrolet Cars &... | Answered on Oct 21, 2019

If you changed the switch you will have to go to the dealer and get the key coded. Ignition keys are coded to the specific computer and the key has to come from the dealer who knows the codes. This is what I had to do on my Camero. If this does not help call your Chevy dealer and ask them if they can code the right key.

Most problems can be solved by disconnecting the battery at the positive post for about 10 minutes. This will reset the computer to the original state. After this, it will take a little driving for the computer to relearn driving habits.
