I found several Tech Bulletins about the many problems these have, but no recall. The joke is when the Chevy garage goes on a service call for a 2002 with flickering warning lights and no start they take Two switches with them. One for the vehicle they're servicing and the other for the truck they're driving. I hope this helps. Take care. If you have more questions for me use testimonial and it will show up in my email. Thanks
if it stops when u turn ether left or right and it sounds maybe similar to a airplain sort of or maybe the sound of grip tires going down the road id say it was the wheel barring on ether side possiably both. easy fix if it is costed me about 90$ for the part and maybe 20 mins to change
id say gas guage is broken i have seen lots of chevys around that year go bad. got to change whole fuel pump which is in the tank. not to bad just got to lift bed some. not sayin that is the problem because of the other things happening but just saying it may be. as for rest i have no clue.
By a cheap odb2 reader read code then delete codes,,with no check engine light on it will crank with remote start ,,a few times,,,,or til the light reappears ,,,you can also take the neg cable off the battery for 30 seconds to clear the codes,,, remote start should work after that if no engine light
No, Motor comes out the top. Remove hood (With a friend you trust) remove all water hoses from engine, remove wiring from top of engine to fuse box on fender (Be careful if clips are a bit stuck), Undo Exhaust at Manifold / Pipe joint ( This will be a challenge, WD-40 and heat will help),
undo transmission bolts ( Support Trans ) then remove torque converter bolts through Stainless access port, Undo Motor mounts, Chain with large bolts bolted into accessory brackets lift slowly in case you missed anything like Ground wires (Be careful with these as they can cause weird problems later in life) Go Slow, Find a good buddy that has done this before buy him a few beers Not an 18 pack!
Having repair info manual is all well an good , but not knowing how to use the info. won't do you any good . Fuse's that blow means that there is an electrical short circuit on the wiring that fuse protects . Looking at electrical distribution diagrams to see what all that fuse supply's battery voltage too an isolating them until you find the problem circuit . Videos on youtube showing how to find a short circuit .

Training is how professional technicians solve this type problem's . Plus there is enough free info on the internet that a problem like this could be fixed without paying for repair manual . Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb
Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size. The ETC / ECM fuse supply's battery voltage to the engine computer an the electronic throttle control system . If you know any of this , your best bet would be to take it to a qualified repair shop , not pay for a repair manual . That would be a waste of money
The ignition coil has two separate windings. They are not connected. Start by testing from one terminal to connection to another. If this works then the two others should be the other circuit. The primary coil has a low resistance, up to 10 ohms. The secondary winding has a higher resistanse, up to 100 ohms or so. If you measure Mohms then the coil jhas a break.
Incredibly dangerous to do that. You need to clean the fuel system and associated parts, check fuel pressure and gaskets before the vehicle burns to the ground from starting it like that.
