If it is a push toggle switch (push for on, push again for off), yes they are very unreliable as it all relies on a spring and a contact. Easy to check with a multimeter. This is an old thread, however here are some tips: Time to get strut nuts off: 2/3 days because I needed a really strong (impact) 22mm socket - 6 point and a 60cm breaker bar. Time tot get *** old wheel bearing out: 2/3 days because I needed bearing press kit and it takes about 100Kg of force to turn the 60cm breaker bar to squeeze out the old bearing and you better make 100% sure you have lined up the bearing pushing things and the thing that collects the bearing the other end. Project bearing installation is now starting ;)

YOU ARE 180 DEGREES OFF BASE, In the usa HOLD HAS ZERO TO DO WITH ENGINE, IF IT RUNS OK AND DOES. (A WEAK ENGINE CAN DELAY UP-SHIFTS YES. you spend all that money barking up the wrong tree, the correct tree is the transmission even the scans told you that..proof. below. U0101, Lost Communication With Transmission Control Module HOLD : what is it stated here: in the SM: quote. The hold mode switch is placed on the shift lever console. By pressing the hold mode switch, the hold mode is turned on and the hold mode indicator in the instrument cluster illuminates. If the hold mode is turned on, the automatic transmission will stay in a specific gear range. To turn off the hold mode and return to normal operation, the hold mode switch must be pressed again. so turn off HOLD. if hold fails to work right, then my guess is the silly switch is bad. if hold is never used at all (what good is it IDK) Id even disconnect the switch and see it hold shuts off the switch is 2 pins, SPST switch, and open or shorted pins is the goal , the cluster light HOLD must go out, so try that. did someone spill coffee on the switch. it is failing. computers hate water, so do cars PCM/TCM etc. or the comm1 error causes the switch to be scanned wrong,. comm errors are never good; but it may be a lie the u0101 was from some other long ago stored event like , a low car battery or jump starter your car or to others. some DTC errors can hold for 30 driving cycles so reset all DTC codes and see if it comes back . one other cure is remove battery neg lug for 1 full hour. then put back and all things then reset and need to auto relearn. even lost radio station stored settings. and transmission shifts hard for a day or less. also use modern scan tool not $17 code reader, a 2008 or newer real scan tool to see all Chevy codes, only do my reset as last chance garage. TCM acts odd and no way to fix it. so we reset it and cross fingers. no P07xx DTC errors told , a good scan too will see that and you have not one. so the hold switch bad or being bumped by car toys, purses. and what not. keep junk away from all car controls. for sure no water bottles under brake pedal. do not drink near any switches ever, (in cars for sure) soda pop even conducts electrons with the acids in it.

Hi roberto ismael luna, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? what country,? (the vary by....this) those parts swaps are they OEM new or used.? that failure is called auto park. traditionally that is only function of the whole wiper assembly (not motor neat) as the assembly casing has switches, to do that. it is a safety issues. to the wipers do not stick and block your view down the road. sure the list of possibles. 1: control arm ,mostly no. (wiper) 2: wiper, whole assembly , not just motor. 3; fuses 4: relays 5: bad wiring. 6: controllers, BCM etc? I say #2 is bad and exactly this part black at blue arrow, CAM box the motor is not bad ,the switch cam, does AUTO PARK. use only NEW parts. not pulls or salvage , or Pro grade Refurbs for CARDONE 1

There are some videos here that might help. Fortunately they are pressed into place. A garage would have a press and perhaps charge you 10 bucks. Or give a good soak on WD40 and bang the broken stud out with a lump hammer and a punch held in pliers. o2 sensors are purely there to meter the fuel / air into the engine based on throttle position. You need an auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer.

Connecting it to a scan tool will give you the answer in the form of codes, AKA DTC codes. The engine light is the clue, the scan tool tells the answers via the codes. All the codes are online. Chevy Aveo code P****
