Sounds like you have a transmission leak.The bearing wouldn't throw that much grease.

it sounds like the water pump is not emptying properly, blow down the water outlet pipe to see if is clear if not go to the water pump and clean it out there is probably a button , paper clip or other debris preventing it from doing its job eric

Have you checked the condition of your tub bearings? If they are worn it can give you a ton of problems. There are several videos on YouTube that may help you diagnose your specific problems. I was surprised that this is a common problem with the Cabrio washer. There are tub suspension kits available that help keep your tub centered but I would check the bearings first.

Sounds like a blockage between drum and pump or outlet water hose to drain,or the pump needs replaced

My dryer did the same thing, it was so distrubing noise in the middle of drying cycles, so I turned off the sound switch it went away, now it doesn’t peep any more.

Sounds like a control board problem

That sounds like the gearbox has gone bad, I've replaced several that were doing the same thing and were still under warranty

Most likely actuator is not engaging into spin mode or yellow pulley has come loose and not engaging or slipping.

You may have something like screws or nail or something that was in some ones pocket or just fell into the tub . You may have to take the agitator out to get it out unless you can get something under it to get it out. This is pretty common I've seen nails get in a hole & wear a hole in the drum , then you have a leaking drum. Not sure but sounds like this may be your problem. Hope this helps good luck

In many cases the spinning motor is problem.

Bite the bullet and tell him, its a lot better to get him or somebody who knows how to do the work than to make it worse or destroy it all together figuring it out. The drum comes out pretty easily, but definitely not a process I would feel comfortable walking someone through

So when you say it's not pumping all water out, is there still water standing in tub or no water standing and clothes are just sopping wet? Is machine spinning? If not spinning, could be actuator that shifts transmission from agitate to spin.

If all obstructions are removed, and still doesn't drain, replace pump.

Allison, We are sorry to hear about your concerns in regards to your Washer. We would recommend balling up the clothing similar to the size of a soccer ball, and place around the agitator one at a time. We would also recommend stacking it up so it's around the sides and the agitator plate is visible with all of the clothing around it. Do not fill up past the 2nd to last row of holes in the basket to help overloading. The bulky cycle will allow more water to enter the tub, but will not spin on the highest spin setting. Since the washer uses less water than a traditional washer it makes it harder for it to remove excess detergent, and it can redeposit on the clothing. Use no more than 2 tablespoons per load, filling all the way to the top row or holes. Make sure the water heater is at 120°F, the best temperature to mix with cold water in. A lower temperature may not make the water hot enough, and the detergent will not dissolve properly. If you ever buy anything from Sears, always keep a warranty,we do and had to use it alot.
