My microbus fan does not want to kick when is hot, can I drive it when the doesn't come on?
If the fan doesn't come on when it is hot, DO NOT DRIVE IT FOR VERY LONG , when an engine gets hot the oil starts evaporating when it comes into contact with hot metal surfaces!!! When the oil gets too hot it breaks down, and there is also a chance that the engine will freeze up from lack of oil!!!
Wither you have an AIR COOLED engine or a WATER COOLED engine, Both rely on a fan to cool the engine, So you have to figure WHY the fan doesn't come on, Fuse, bad thermostat, short,

I need to top up the coolant;tata telcoline. What
Question is confusing, but generally speaking VW needs some care taken when selecting antifreeze and topping up. Needing to top up is a signal in itself. You should carefully look for leaks, bulging rubber hoses, and if you can get eyes on it, check the water pump[s]. Often leaks don't look like wetness, but rather dried discolored corrosion around the leaking spot. Now the important part. If you want peace of mind, use the antifreeze from VW. If it's just a top-up it might not be too expensive. The antifreeze is typically printed right on the cap - for example G12 (red/pink) or G11 (blue/green) is in raised letters on the expansion tank cap. If you are planning on changing the antifreeze, then VW might be expensive, and I personally purchase Pentosin - which sells G11, 12, and G13 coolant at modestly cheaper prices, and I think Pentosin is the OEM supplier to VW.
2000 volkswagon passat crank no start power to suse and relay clicks but found 4.5 volts at pump may be due to batterybeing low. did want to start today. If i leave it fo a min it will start but will
I'd recommend a two part diagnosis - First try starting with a jumper from another vehicle. That should sort out your whether your battery is at fault or not. I've seen so many strange ways for batteries to fail in confusing ways, that it's a good idea to try that and see what happens. Then once the battery is sorted out, if you still have low voltage at the fuel pump, check the connectors and wiring for the fuel pump for corrosion and fraying. VWs are notorious for corrosion in the exposed undercarriage wires. Amazing how many transmissions have been replaced b/c the wires to the ECU got corroded. Finally, many VWs have not one, but 2 fuel pumps. There is typically one in the gas tank that feeds another that creates the high pressure for the fuel injection. I had the one in the gas tank fail and the symptom was that the car leaned out and "bucked" when under load. Good luck.
1970 vw transmission stuck in gear
The selection lever leading into the transmission is stuck in between the gear selector shafts. Pull the engine, disconnect the shift rod shaft under the back seat, take the big bolts holding the transmission to the frame out, slide the transmission forward, unbolt the transmission housing. From there push the housing back to expose the shift levers & selector fork. Align the fork back into the levers so it is freely operating. Bolt the housing back up. Now put it back together. Its about a 2 hour job. Good luck.

2007 Eos bought end of
The cruise control issue is a common problem. The switch that is behind the steering wheel tends to wear out and the whole stalk will have to be replaced. I had the same problem with mine. It would work intermittently and over time it stopped working all together. I replaced the stalk and it was fixed
2001 volkswagen cabrio cruise control won't engage
It's most likely the control stalk on the steering wheel where you engage and disengage the cruise control. It's a common problem with VW. Also check your fuse panel and check the cruise control fuse.
How do I replace the Cruise Control module for 2008 Volkswagen Eos?
The first thing you are going to want to do with a car that sophisticated is buy a manual. I believe the module you are speaking of is located between the firewall and the block on the drivers side of the vehicle. It should be fairly easy to find -- trace back from the Throttle Positioning Sensor wire-harness to the unit.
There is a clip to disconnect -- and in some cases a cable -- though I think that particular unit is a fly-by-wire system. And detach it from the mount/s. To install - reverse the process.
Where is fuel filter vw
Hi baileypr.
On the golf, 1992 to 1998 the fuel filter is situated underneath the car
on the right hand side in front of the fuel tank on UK models. It may
be in the same place on your car or on the left hand side. If you
are going to do the job yourself, the fuel system has got to be
depressurised, be very careful! Remember to disconnect the battery
and keep a fire extingusher handy. you may be able to get hold
of a copy of the workshop manual from your library or car boot
sale.
Good luck,
Cliff.
