I've seen this issue many times on this series of Vizio sets, you have a bad EEPROM IC on the main board, either change the main or order and solder in a new IC if you have advanced soldering skills, needless to say the chip will be a fraction the cost of the board.

Does it blow the fuse with the LVDS cable removed? It it doesn't replace the tcon board if it has one, if it doesn't it sounds like a panel issue

Bad TV PSU (power supply unit) and seems dangerous to me. arc'ing? sounds. I'd not plug it in to AC wall power until fixed. did water land on TV? why not get a shop to fix it? or buy \the shop manual the manual you don't have may say the main board needs to be reprogrammed to use this size 50" screen, and if not done by the book there is no hope. learn to RTM first, no 2 TVs are the same. some have 1 main logic board that works on 3 screen size models. why not get shop to do that? and not pour cash down a pit. to zero gain, why? what if the PSU was overloaded, even the LED background array can do that if bad. so replacing the boards 10x will not cure that. see??????? next time by LG or Samsung. far far far better long lasting TVs and 10x better service, (consider that)

The Vizio "E" (economy) series sets have local diming, on most brands if some of the lamps go bad the screen is black but not on these model Vizio TV's, for this reason it's harder to troubleshoot the set for possible bad backlights or backlight inverter issues. If you have a LED backlight tester you can test each zone at the backlight connector off the inverter board to see if each is working, without a tester you're going to need to remove the panel then move strips that don't light to ones that do and see if it's the strips bad or inverter issues.

Edge lit sets have a tendacy of having sections of the backlights bad, there are 4 to 8 zones with about a dozen lamps in each zone, if you have dim edges the outside sets have failed. The issue with replacing them is the lamps get very warm before buring out and in most cases, it damages the defuser panel, so it doesn't spread the light correctly. Start by taking the screen (panel) out and defusing screens and see if the thick one is damaged, either cracked or warped, if it is it's time for a new TV, if it looks ok you can get parts from shoppjimmy.

To remove the stickiness from you Snooper sat nav use a white none scratch saucepan scourer and Cillit Bang black mould remover. Use only the mould remover do not use any water. Use just enough mould remover o moisten the scourer to avoid getting liquid into electronics. It takes a bit of work to clean the corners and nooks and crannies. Protect the screen from damage while cleaning, the remover itself will not cause any damage to the screen. Don't put too much pressure on and the sticky mess will come off.

Hard wire it to your router and see if you get internet that way, if you do it's a bad wifi board,...is still no internet the main has issues

Unfortunately, this model Vizio set has a lot of issues with the backlights. I believe I've posted this before but going to again, before you buy a Vizio TV check the model number, if it starts with an "E" keep shopping, the E stands for economy series and in most cases the sets only last a yr or 2. I'd be suspicious of inverter issues, the defective lamps damage the power board inverter, start by testing C203 and C204, you should see the same voltage on both caps. If one has no or very little voltage you need a replacement power board. If the voltage is close to the same (one will be a little lower as it has the lights that work on it), I'd lean towards a connector issue, this set has 4 individual regulated supplies for the backlights, they're fed from 2 inverter rails, it appears one rail is working and the other not, this points me in the power supply issue.

The VR2 is not a Universal Remote, it is an enhanced facsimile remote (with screen) and has to be ordered specifically to the mystery model of your Vizio television. Google Vizio (model) replacement remote and stick with Copy remotes that match the one that came with the television. People don't buy Universal Remotes these days. Try a Hard Reset first. Note: To perform a hard reset on a Vizio Smart TV, you will need to use the remote.

1. Unplug your router.
2. Press the menu button on your Vizio remote.
3. Navigate to System on the menu and select OK.
4. Select Reset & Admin and select OK.
5. Select Reset TV to Factory Defaults and select OK.

Throwing replacement boards at the TV without doing some voltage tests doesn't make much sense. It could have been the power board, it could be the main, it could be a tcon or panel issue although chances of these are thin, also could be bad backlights

you need to send it to a repair guy ,but asking to change all the led tires, with a new ones,because if you change only the leds that fail,in a short time it will happen again

Double check the flat ribbon connectors going from the panel boards to be sure they're all connected correctly, if they are the panel was damaged when it was handled, or from static, if grounding bands aren't worn it's quite easy to damage it from static.

Hi, An analysis might help save time and money in this case. Please have an electrician or local tv/electronics repair website do the analysis to figure out which parts are bad. Then, you can by and replace the parts in the tv. But I would advise to let vizio perform the fix as your tv could become an electrical hazard if not properly fixed. Thank you.
