Mine is 10 years old. How can I refurbish the

Certainly. Providing the system holds pressure, it can go indefinitely. Newer motor technology, in the compressor area would use significantly less energy, consider switching that out.

Ice on the back wall;

hi,
Wine cabinets work off of cycle defrost, so in order to built frost your temperature sensors are not working properly. I would look for corrosion on or in connections to be the fault or problem. Sensors report information to control unit and thats there only job. Its the control unit that dictates function. Look for corrosion to be the problem, clean connection and seal with RTV when connection a corrected.

Icing up on back wall

I have the same model and the same thing just started with mine! Did you find the solution?It's now 2017, and I should've post the resolution a long time ago. I've had ice form on the back of my unit several times over the last years and the problem has always been because one or more bottles were touching the interior back wall. Any kind of contact with the walls will cause the ice to build-up. Check your bottles and pull them forward a bit to ensure they are not touching the back wall.

I cannot control the temperature.

Check the compressor and clean the condenser coil and remove dust and dirt. Use canned compressed air to blow in out.
--------------
Is the compressor running non stop or its not running at all.Or its cycling ON and OFF in quick intervals.. ------- If its running non stop, then its low refrigerant issue with compressor.---- If its not running at all then its capacitor beside compressor issue.If its cycling on and off in quick intervals then thermostat needs to be checked.Remove the thermostat and by pass its two wire by connecting them directly.If this solves the issue then its thermostat issue.It has to be replaced. --------- also see if its collecting any water at the back.if its collecting too much water at the back water pan, then its humidity issue.Its getting overheated so the coils not getting enough cold and so unit does not cool.Try putting a fan in the pantry where the back of the unit is installed to see if that helps with the humidity issue. ----------- Get this checked.This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.
