Pioneer DJM 600 - ground noise on earphone
Some users have reported grounding issues with the DJM-600. One workaround is to ensure that everything connected to the mixer (such as CDJs) is plugged into the same electrical loop. Interestingly, some users found that when only the speakers were connected (without any CDJs), there was no noise.
Behringer Xenyx 1222FX won't power on, only phantom power
Since the phantom power is working, it's unlikely to be hte problem at the transformer. You have to locate the ground wire of the mixer (ususally the lower end of the faders, or the ground from one of the audio connectors). Using your voltmeter you must find one point providing +15Volts and another one providing -15Volts at each of the input stages. I think that the problem is that one (or both) of these voltages are absent. Mention that the +15 and the -15 volts are between the ground and the apropriate pin at the input stages. In case you will not locate the +/-15Volts, or they are 0Volts, post me back for further directions.
In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply.
If you are satisfied, accept my solution.

Simmons DA200s shut down. It smelled burnt and power cord was hot. Any ideas?
Simmons DA200S has the fuse inside the power hookup. You need to unscrew all the screws around the metal plate front and back.
Power hookup
This the back of the hookup. There is a hole and all you have to do is push a small screwdriver into it. This will project the fuse out through the front.
That's it! Inside the little location there is a replacement fuse. Do the swap and push it back into the hookup.
You're done!
I can't believe no one figured this thing out by now.
Good luck!
Amp turns on but puts out no sound except for faint noise which dies out after a few seconds.
It sounds like a defective/incorrect AC-to-DC adapter may have caused your problem. These adapter come with different output voltages, AC or DC output and different amperage ratings. AC-to-DC adapters list the polarity of the DC voltage as it relates to the DC power plug and you must match both the devices voltage and power requirements. As for the amp...not working on batteries either, I would suspect output transistors or IC.

Will a midi interface allow me to play downloaded music on a yamaha clainova 305
Yes, with some preparation. The music will have to be in a standard MIDI file format or a format that results in standard MIDI over USB output when "played" by computer software or an external sequencer. Within the software you will probably need to create a new "instrument" if there is not already a template for the CVP 305, otherwise the tracks and sub channels in the MIDI file will be patched to GM, probably not what you want to hear.
