Check your cables first to see if they are causing it. Faulty cables can cause all sorts of problems. If that doesn't solve it it could either be that the colour settings are wrong, for example NTSC instead of PAL or vice versa. Sometimes it is something to do with copy protection. In some cases counterfeit discs, or faulty discs. And in some cases a fault on the DVD player.

I phoned sony when I had an issue with my bravia and they walked me through fixing it. I got the number from google.

Tuner is gone. An external tuner may be a viable alternative. Go to ebay and check out what is available. eBayeBay

I have encountered this before---there are set top boxes that will convert the NTSC to PAL and the only other concern is the line voltage being the same or not.

This is a screen tab fault and in most cases will require the screen replacing

Your HDMI lead is too long or not high enough quality. Don't use a cheap one. Trust me....

If this happens on all disks then the unit is dying a slow *****. Get ready for the DAY it goes completely.
