Sounds like a control board problem

Any welding equipment retailer should sell the gas hoses.

Need to change contact box inside machine. Contact box must be worn out and contacts are stuck.

If you have high current rectifiers- you can change polarity by simply reversing the leads of the rectifiers- in other words for one rectifier- the lead attached to the stud would be removed and moved to the "pigtail" of the rectifier, and that lead removed from the "pigtail" would be attached now to the stud end of the rectifier.More than likely you just have AC at the gun. You can check with a voltmeter- open circuit should be around 40 volts. If you use an analog meter set to read DC and it is put on AC, the needle will simply flutter.As for the technique- Wire speed is a little more critical with cored wire than shield gas. But it is set the same way- to the sound of bacon and eggs on the griddle.

i had same problem ckeck the voltage to your outlet and try re-setting the breaker.hope this helps. i had to replace the 50 amp otlet.

27 volts is enough to weld. Have you check the polarity connection according to the wire you are using?
Solid wire: Ground clamp to negative pole. Flux cored wire: Ground clamp to positive side of the pole.

check for circuit breaker by drive motor, it may be the pc board.

the smoke came from the inside? If so check the transforner

Not heard of this make but the contacter sounds like its stuck. These are not to expensive and fairly easy to replace if you have some practical ability. If in doubt take it to a welding distributer who does reapirs and tell him you think its the contacter and get a quote, depending on the machine i would estimate between £25 and £60. Hope this helps.

You've got a bad switch in the gun, a broken or disconnected wire to the dwitch and drive motor, or the drive motor is burned out. You will need to check each part with a meter of some sort WITH THE UNIT UNPLUGGED!!! It's doubtful that the power into the unit is the problem, but it could be if they split off one leg of the 220 and run it to ground through the drive circuit to ground and get the 110 that way. Make sure that both legs of the outlet are showing 110-120V. If not, then go to the breaker box and replace the bad circuit breaker.

Yiu can use both innershiel and solid core wire. All you need to do is inverse the polarity for the innershield wire (gasless wire) connect the gun to the ground and ground cable to positive side.

Call your nearest Praxair store and ask for the replacement, they should be able to get it for you.

Buy a Tweco mini gun part# 1000-1133 and an adapter part# 2500-2140, and that will solve your problem. Tweco parts are available at every Praxair location.
Get rid of the solar gun.

You will be able to purchase any parts you need at a local welding supply store.Do you have a diagram for your stinger and the parts you need.If not I can check my books because I think I may have a manual for this.

The area where you posted is the 'Additional Information' information are so perhaps the OP can take his apart for you, but where the trigger connects should be pretty straight forward.
