Sherwood Scuba Diving & Snorkeling - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support
I have a slight free
I would guess either the valve has frozen up which sometimes is a pain since you have to watch what you lube it with. I suggest 100% pure virgin olive oil to free it up and then flush is multiple times when you free it up.
You could also have a tiny hole in the membraine that you will have trouble detecting. A little food coloring (red or yellow works best) mixed with water is the best way to find out if it is good. Again make sure you flush it afterwards.
NOTE: The next time you store your regulator a couple of drops of olive oil will keep you out of trouble.
I have two 7eb series
best just to have rebuilt, possibly sand or corrosion inside. dumb question tho, have air in tank right?
New SR1 has not been
Did you have this regulator shipped to you or did you pick it up personally at a scuba store ??
While trying to replace the hose for my Sherwood
Im not sure which part you are referring to. However regulator manufacturers dont generally provide manuals, as this is a critical piece of equipment I would strongly recommend that you send it too an authorised repair shop and do not undertake DIY repairs yourself. Hope this helps.
Sherwood 2000 1st stage leaking. Who repairs?
Take it to a dealer! What's your life worth? Self repair can work if you can get the parts, but that's not likely due to liability issues.
Best advice is don't mess with life support equipment.
Leaking can be caused by several thing. Sometimes it minor, sometimes total failure imminent.
ON THE OTHER HAND, if the "leaking" is very slight and is coming from around a little rubber insert in what appears to be a port in the 1st stage, it's supposed to do that! That's how the simple Sherwood regs equalize pressure to ambient. Go figure. Simple.
Buckles are broken
At a Sherwood dealer? You might also go into ANY SCUBA store with your mask. Many brands have similar or even identical parts.
OR contact the company for a replacement.
Where can I get a replacement lens removal tool
At a Sherwood SCUBA dealer? How about that. However just about any brand of a similar item will likely work. OR, you could make your own by sharpening any piece of durable plastic of the appropriate size.
Leak at bcd overflow valve, need inside gasket
Get thee to a SCUBA store the sells that brand. It's an easy replacement. One thing you could try would be to turn the existing gasket over and see if the unused surface will make a seal. The overflow valve is a CRITICAL safety item on your BCD. Make sure it's
working properly before you use the BCD.
I have a SR1 that had the breathing resistance
Not likely a dive store or the manufacturer will sell such a part due to liability concerns. That being said, the knob should NOT fall out.
You could contact the place you bought it seeking warranty repair.
Ditto with the manufacturer. If you call Sherwood and describe the problem there's a good chance they will replace the part (in house) at no charge other then postage. However, most manufacturers require annual inspection/overhaul of life support equipment to maintain warranty status.
Replacement Quick Disconnect Strap Buckles
You won't find any spare parts as Sherwood don't supply them.
Your mask had a limited 12 month warranty from new, so if it's under warranty still then Sherwood will likely either replace the entire mask or take the parts you need off a spares donor for you.
If you can't claim under warranty they may still decide to help you on a goodwill basis, but in future if you want reliable spares and aftersales support buy established market leading brands such as Mares, ScubaPro, Cressi etc.
The regulator is free flowing
Your regulator requires servicing as this problem could be caused by either excessive pressure in the LP line to your Reg or the valve in the reg has become defective.
