I have a Chamberlain LiftMaster Formula 1 garage door opener that will travel cycle a short distance and then stop. Light on the back of the opener blinks 5 times. Do I need a new circuit board or is

Hi, If you haven't already make sure the track and door are aligned and nothing is blocking. Can you hear it struggling to move or does it make any unusual noises, listen carefully. Pull the release leaver and see if it is easy to move the door by hand, does it get stuck or is it harder to move in certain parts. Clean the track and any contacts making sure that there is nothing blocking the sensors. Try operating the door when it is dark or nearly dark to see if light is interfering with sensors. Also make sure sensors are aligned if you can. Feel the the motor unit and see if it is hot, if it is unplug power and check for obstructions. Avoid repeated attempts resulting in a hot motor let it rest for 30 minutes before the next try. If all else fails contact the supplier with the model number and give them the error code i.e. light flashes 5 times. Although some of these can be pretty vague like "call a service agent" etc. - Ben

Access Master M100 Garage Door Opener has quit completely - what does the 5X flashing yellow lights mean?

5 flashes means "Opener overheated/bad rpm sensor". Let the opener cool down for 30min. Then try again. If that does not help then replace the rpm sensor. If that still does not help then have a garage door pro come out to have a look.
