Samsung Washing Machines - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

That is how it supposed to be. These new machines are high efficiency. They use minimal water and heating and less detergent as well. The rinses should be marginally more.

Oh, I just noticed it is a top loader. Contact the seller for service. Make sure you aren't on the 'Small Wash' cycle.

NF and 4E = No Water Feed = Washer Not Filling. This means that there is an issue that is preventing your washer from receiving water into the water inlet valve. The troubleshooting steps below apply to all types of Samsung washing machines including front load, top load, and washer and dryer combos

The rear tub bearing is going. This is not a repairable fix as the bearing is molded into the plastic of the outer tub housing. (You can see the explosions on YouTube) Usually they will let go in high speed spin and do quite a bit of damage. These machines are made to last about 5 to 7 years and then be recycled. Find a Speed Queen dealer in your area and get a washer that is tested to last 25 years to a lifetime.

The child lock is sometimes called the control panel lock. This keeps the washer from starting a program while cleaning the washer or when a child presses the buttons.

To toggle the child lock on and off, you need to press and hold two buttons simultaneously for three seconds. These buttons will be indicated by a line between the two buttons either Child Lock or a smiley face in a padlock symbol in the middle of the line. The symbol or the words will be in a very small font.

On some Samsung washers, press Temp and Spin or Temp and Rinse. On the WW7500 models, press and hold Options and Smart Control. For other models, see https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/home-appliances/how-do-i-switch-the-child-lock-on-my-samsung-washing-machine-on-and-off/ .

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the model number of your washer if you still can't find how to toggle the child lock off.

I could not find that code applied to a Samsung washer, only different mfgs. Contact with Samsung "Chat" states A02 is a communications error.

Recommend you check cable connections at the control board

Have you tried "smart care" app with this machine? Suggest try and see what it says is wrong.

Unplug washer. With multimeter on ohms at lowest setting disconnect wires going into valve and place leads on lugs of valve you should get fairly low ohms reading, if you get infinity your coil is bad.

Likely the water pump, cut could be other. The bottom kick plate is usually easy to remove (check manual). Once removed you should be better able to identify source of leak.

Parts diagram and manual can usually be found at

just enter model number, e.g.

You did not post the model number. I would not recommend doing this. There is a sensor next to the tub that can become plugged with softener. They can be cleaned and work good.

It means that there is a motor defect.
Switch off the appliance at the mains then wait 30 seconds. Switch appliance back on again and start a new programme.
Contact customer service is problem persists.
