most likely you need a new mainboard it is the board that all the hdmi ports are on pull it out and get the part number off the board and search google for a new part buy it and replace it

screen ribbon needs resetting not an easy job to do if you not done them before as you need to take the screen out and remove the screen shield off to get to the ribbon, then put a foam or rubber spacer over the ribbon so that when you fit the shield case back on it just pushes on it slightly so it has good contact. and its best to do all the ribbons as this will help it not do the same to the reset.

What do the power supply voltages look like?...are they all normal, specially the ones feeding the panel lamps

I've had that happen I will try cleaning them and you can clean your dvds also sometimes that works but after a while you just have to replace your player I've done that a few times hope this helps Merry Christmas

I'd start by checking the cables going into and out of the tcon board, if that doesn't fix it chances are its a bad board, since it would take a few mins to basically warm up to work before it started doing this all the time one other thing you can try if its not cables is to bake the board..Chances of that fixing it are kind of slim but I have had it work a few times with timing boards I couldn't find. You can youtube this and find some vids on how to do it.

Power supply board most likely source, check for rounded tops on capacitors, a common cause.

Change the Tcon board and you should be back in business.
