Samsung LE - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

It most likley is the power supply on the TV itself. There are 4 capasitors that are known to go out. You can tell this by the tops popping out or black goo coming out. You can buy everything you need at Radio Shack. I spent 22$ for soldering iron and everything I needed. I have posted pictures here. I also watched some videos on desoldering and soldering on a circuit board - very helpful.

Restart the router. Unplug the power, wait about 1 minute, and reconnect. Try connecting another device to the router. If it works, it's a TV problem, and if it doesn't, it's a router problem.

I suggest that you find reset on the remote.

Here is what to check when your TV is turned on, power light is ON, but no picture is seen or sound is heard: 1 - Be sure the component you are using (Xbox, Cable, SAT, ROKU) is turned ON. 2 - Check to be sure all cable and cords are securely connected to the TV inputs and component outputs. 3 - Make sure you are on the correct input as some TV's will show a black screen if there is nothing connected to that input. 4 - Unplug the input you are trying to use from the TV (such as an HDMI Cable) and plug it back in. 5 - Check for signs of damage on all cords and cables from the TV to all components. 6 - Make sure the TV is not in ENERGY SAVE MODE, press the button on the remote control to go back to normal mode. 7 - Unplug the TV for 10 minutes to see if there was a temporary one time issue with the TV. 8 - Disconnect the TV from power for 2 minutes, then when plugging it back in PRESS AND HOLD THE POWER BUTTON ON THE TV FOR 10 to 20 SECONDS to try and force the TV to reset. 9 - If after checking all these different issues, you may have a Faulty Power Supply Board, A Bad Capacitor on the Power Supply Board, Loose Wire Harness, or Loose Ribbon Connector in the TV itself. 10 - Most likely when a TV has the power light ON but NO PICTURE and NO SOUND, it is the Power Supply Board that has failed. this is a common fault take back of and look on main power board for blown capacitor's ( raised tops ) they look like little batteries with white line down one side replace then with same value e.g ( 2000mf 25v)
remember what side line is on (TAKE PICTURE) for capacitors look on Charles hyde and son web site(CHS) under general components listed on left side of page

Problem: Samsung LTM1755B with only a blinking yellow LED when you try to turn it on.

Solution: I just had one of these come in. I opened it up, and found the U501 capacitor a little suspicious looking, in that it had a deformed top. It was a 470uF 16V electrolytic 105degC 10mm x 12mm. I replaced it with a very good quality 1000uF 16V electrolytic 105degC 10mm x 16mm Nichicon UHN1C102MPD. After that repair, when I tried to turn it on, the LED was yellow for a second, then green, then I got a picture, and it appeared to work great. I then asked the owner a week later how it was working, and they said it was working just like new!

If supported by your tv simple put a movie in the root of the USB stick in .avi or .dvix format then put stick in the tv and it would start the usb player function

Check the backlight if you have backlight only two things will solve the issue . The Tcon board board need to be changed. The other would be to get another main board those tow parts I mentioned will solve your issue would try the tcon board first

appears other people are having the same issue with Samsung TV's. Try calling Samsung or wherever you bought it from. I've been dealing with Samsung on this issue. We got a 40" LCD in October 2010 and it started flickering January 2012. Changing it from 'standard' to 'movie' helped (natural and dynamic flicker) Then it started flickering in 'movie.' I called Samsung and told them this issue is all over the internet. They agreed to pay for repair, parts and labor, even though it's out of warranty. The guy just left and this is what I know. He said that in the 46" and larger, the issue is a jumper. In the 40" and, I think, smaller, it's the panel. He's ordering the panel and will be back to replace it when it comes in from the warehouse in CA. Try calling Samsung and good luck!

Hey it taken me a few years to find a solution to this problem.I also own a Samsung syncmaster 2032mw.BTW you must hold / use the "Menu key on the side of the TV", as holding the remote key dosen't work!!Many thanks dopeNL

The problem is the T-con.
There is a faulty chip and need to be replaced.
Price is about 30-50€

Bad capacitors on the power control circuit board.
