My name is Sammi James I have been spamming FIXYA for years - I am one of the best spam experts ever!

Please remove the card off from the camera and have it checked into your PC card reader... or into one in your friends laptop. On scanning you can see the files and also if any errors ( virus) has come into the memory card. If so copy off all the files and format the card.
However if the card is not read then it can be faulty, good to approach the computer service to try for recovery of the important data that is inside without trying any harsh moves.

Sammi James has been spamming FIXYA since 2009 - one of the best spam experts ever!after I pressed Format,

Yes. Do not try and do anything with the card in the camera. Remove it.
You need to connect the card to a USB card reader, and connect that to your computer.
You need a file recovery software. There are a heap of them and most want to sell them to you, You might bea ble to find a free one with enough searching.
I have used PhotoRescuePro and it is very good. It recovered data from a card that a faulty camera corrupted.
Do a google on

How do I remove Sammi James from FIXYA. Sammi has been spamming FIXYA for years - one of the best spam experts ever!

Hello

My apologies if this message finds you long after posting this problem , but I am currently working through a backlog of problems that never got answered and hopefully this info can still be of use if not now possibly in future.

Please download Disc Digger HERE. This is a free tool you can use that works very well and there is no installation required, just run the program once you downloaded it.

Once you have connected the memory card to the computer via either the camera or preferably with a usb card reader , run the program.

On the program , select the dig deep option for accidentaly deleted files or dig deeper for a formatted card. Then select the card you want to do the recovery on and run the program.

The data will be displayed and you can recover it from there. This will only work if the card has not been used since the pictures were lost. Save the files to a location on the computer hard drive and not back to the memory card as this will overwrite the other pictures that still needs to be recovered.

Some of the properties of the files may become lost in the recovery but the pictures should be fine.

Feel free to ask if you need more assistance.

Kind Regards
Andrea

Retriving pictures

Hi,
I'm going to assume you have accidentally deleted the pictures.
There are several applications that can recover deleted images from memory cards.
The best free one I've found so far is: Pandora Recovery.
Download here: http://www.pandorarecovery.com/download/

Once you have it installed what you want do do is:
1) Insert your memory card in your computer / memory card reader
2) Start "Pandora Recovery"
3) Click "Surface Scan"
4) Where it says "Scan this disc drive" you select your memory card.
5) Click "Start Disk Surface Scan"
6) Let the scan finnish. (This can take some time depending on the size of your memory card.)
7) In the right pane you are now going to see everything "Pandora Recovery" could find on your memory card.
8) Select all or the images you want to restore.
9) Right click the selected files and click "Recover to"
10) Specify where you want to put the files.
11) Click "Recover now".

Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions along the road.

Memory Card Question

Try photo recovery software to rescue the lost picture, here are some you may rely on. Photo Recovery Software (for Windows)
Mac Photo Recovery Software (for Mac OS X)

Be careful: Before your picture isrecovered, do not attempt to save more files to the memory card in case the original files(your picture) are overwritten.

I cannt open my phone after using patterns sevaral times.its asking for google account.

Typically when a mobile device is locked, it wants the original e-mail account name and password it was setup with. You shouldn't need internet connectivity to unlock the phone. If you can log into your account at https://mail.google.com/ that's good, but it doesn't guarantee it's the same account the device is using or the original password used. In some cases, if the device can receive a call, you can access the menu during the call and disable the screen lock. If you don't remember the username and the account was properly setup at creation time, you can recover the name using "I forgot my username" here: http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=46346 And here's a trick to recover an account name on an Android device: https://productforums.google.com/d/topic/gmail/ydNElvUjJVU/discussion If you have the username, the following will help with the process to recover the account by resetting the password: http://gmailaccountrecovery.blogspot.com/ BUT... A recovered account or changed password won't have the original password which is what the device needs to be unlocked. In that case the device will probably need to have a factory reset done (read the owner's manual for instructions) and then setup again with an e-mail account (be sure to write the information down this time). If it's setup with the recovered e-mail account, any purchased apps and synced data should be restored. If a new account needs to be created, all previous information will be lost. If i eraser my pictures by accident it possible save it?

If the pictures were on a memory card and you haven't done anything with the card since formatting it then you may be able to recover at least some of the pictures. Do a Google search for "data recovery software" and select a program for your computer and operating system. Put the memory card into a card reader attached to your computer and run the program.

Deleted files on samsung s760 digital camera

I have had success with this... Download the program http://www.asoftech.com/apr/You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic. You need to use a card reader either one already in your computer (some have one, some don't). Or buy an external USB card reader. They are around $2 on Amazon. The problem with built in card readers is that they will usually only read up to a 2G card.I was not able to recover photos by hooking the camera up to the pc with the usb cord, it just won't work.

I have deleted photos by error will be to recover

It's no problem at all to get them back. Do not take any more pictures, and remove the card from the camera to lessen the chance of you overwriting some important pictures or videos. There are VERY many freeware software options available to help you recover your files. Please see this blog article that reviews several of the better freeware recovery programs that you can download. You may need to use a card reader with these programs though.

All the download links listed in the article are available through CNET. This was to primarily ensure through CNET's verification process that these would be malware free software, and to also give you a chance to read user reviews on the software before downloading.
