Hi there... firstly is this blender a USA or UK model and do you have a Multimeter handy? if you can remove the fuse from the plug (UK only) and test t through diode mode on a multimeter or Continuity test across the fuse terminals... if it beeps the fuse is good if nothing the fuse is blown we can move on from there

if you can not find a switch to replace the bad then buy a new blender

Overheating normally. It should reset. If it doesn't it is probably time for a new one.

are talking the blade inside the canister if so it unscrews from the clear handle and view area. otherwise if you mean the chuck below when the canister is lifted off that is held on by a fastener right in the middle dead center

There is no such button, most likely the motor has failed.

Your best bet is to open it up carefully and investigate. It's usually a minor problem unless it is old. Check it out yourself, you can't break something that's already broken and you'll gain some knowledge! :D

Check to be sure your rubber gasket is clean and in the proper place which should be between the jug and the blade asembly. Also I have seen leaking when the assembly was tightened too much. If you still have your receipt etc you may be able to exchange the unit where you purchased it. Alternatively contact the manufacturer and see if they can replace under warrenty
