All clippers run hot. Motor is enclosed, gearbox and friction all add to the heat.

I've literally JUST opened a brand new one and have the same issue...what gives? Return and replace? Repair? Or different brand all together please? Thank

No special tool you need to make sure you have removed the gear wheel in the gearbox, locate the armature inside the motor frame first then slide the motor housing complete with the armature into the body of the clipper sometimes you may need to twist a little to get it in. Hi, as far as I know you're suppose to use a size 10 or 30 blade with any combs. I prefer to buy a longer blade like a size 4 rather than using the combs as I find the coat finish not great with the combs.

There is a small button at the bottom edge of the blade, push it in and at the same time push the blade teeth away from the clipper. The blade will hinge away from the clipper, you then lift the blade up off the tongue. When fitting another blade pop it onto the tongue, turn the clipper on and snap the blade shut.

There needs to be a video for this one but if you look at your other blades they can give you a guide. I wouldn't take the others apart though.get your pieces together the best you can. Don't forget the little plastic sliding piece. When you tighten the screws tighten the two equally and try your best to align everything as much as possible. Now look at your cutter blade and make sure the teeth don't stick out higher than gaps of the teeth on the main part of the blade. This will cut a dog.

It sounds like a faulty motor if they are under a year old send then back who you purchased them from otherwise it could be a costly repair. Dog Clippers

oops, you may have blown the circuit board or possibly the motor either way its not going to be a cheep fix. 120v clippers are not ment for 240V

make sure the blade is clicked into place fully, secondly check to see if the blade is sitting further away from the clipper than usual, it could also be a stripped gear inside the clipper does the lever move when the blade is engaged?

Undo the 2 screws from the FRONT that go through the aluminium housing into the yellow housing. They are either side of the blade tension thumb screw. Pull the housing off and that will allow you to squirt the grease into the gear assembly.
