What the best way to take the back wheel of my mountain bike

Shift to your top gear before removing the wheel and as you take the wheel out, pull back your derailleur to make it clear the cassette more easily.

Hope,

Install Shimano revoshift

Front or rear? Is the cable not in the shifter?
If the cable is not in the shifter, there will be a screw in the shifter (made of plastic, usually black) facing outward. You open this and shift the shifter into the highest gear, then slip the cable through and out the side that accepts the cable sleeve. Then you run it through the sleeve and to its appropriate derailleur (left hand=front, right hand=rear).

You may have too large a tire on the back for the bike. However, if the derailleur hanger is bent, this could also cause the problem. Flip your bike over onto the bars and seat and make sure the derailleur alignment is good (vertically and longitudinally straight). If the derailleur hanger is straight, then you will have to use a narrower tire in the back.

Will P195/65R14 fit on any 14

Yes and no. For the most part, since you've got a pretty standard 14inch tire, it should fit on most stander 14inch rims.

If you've got a set of sports rims (which are most likely wider than stock) then it may not fit

I just replaced my offroad tires on my bike with

It could be a d-rail, but also could be spokes, chain rub, wheel hitting a brake pad, tire clearance at frame, bearings.
Put your bike upside down so you can turn the pedals while you check for where this may be coming from.
Take your time... these noises can "telegraph' thru the frame and fool you so look for visible signs, use a little chain lube, oil , etc and you'll be able to pin point your noise.
I had an issue on my high end road bike.. a clicking while pedaling uphill...very annoying... turned out to be the added pressure caused the rear wheel spokes to click at the crossover point... a little heat shrink tubing did a nice alteration without a spoke pressure increase... So look around , start eliminating the possiblitites and you'll find it!

Shimano Altus gears

The old lubricant has gummed up. It needs a good cleaning and relubrication.
"STI shifters gum up after years of use. I've had good luck with this method and since it's nearly free it's probably worth a shot--

"Get a can of WD-40 or a similar light solvent/oil solution. Pull the brake lever back to the bar to partially expose the shifting mechanism and generously hose down the interior with your solvent. I mean really get it in there from all directions, using the little red spray tube if possible. Let it sit for a while and then drizzle in some light oil like Tri-Flo or similar. Then wipe down the exterior of the shifter with some Simple Green or other degreaser (to keep the overspray off your hands).

"I've rescued two sets of STI-type shifters with this method. Hope you get your problem solved one way or another, because new Dura-Ace sure ain't cheap."

Ultegra Flight Deck shifter problem

My guess is the shift cable has slipped, only allowing you the top end of the rachet positions. Drop the shifter to the very lowest cog, make sure the cable is tight, and adjust the tension at the derailleur so that on the first single click it climbs one gear, and isn't noisy there. More tension 9 winding the barel out ) causes it to rise, less, to drop down. It should then hopefully select all the gears, unless the upper stop, the L screw is set too low. This screw stops the derailleur hitting the spokes and going past 1st gear. That shouldn't ever change though.

My LH ultegra flight deck does not shift.

Try disconnecting the cable as you would if you were replacing it. Check the cable for wear (frayed wires in the cable). While you have the cable out try shifting it to see if it now works. Check http://www.bikeforums.net/archive/index.php/t-194308.html for an article which may help.

Problem with top/low adjustment screws on shimano gears

Forget the screws as those are more for fine tuning once you are close to having it set correctly. Where the shift cable connects to the shifter on the bars you will typically find an adjustment knob (note that you may have the same type of adjustment knob where the cable meets the gear shift mechanism also) which the cable rides in. You will make much larger jumps in adjustment when using this method as opposed to using the screws located on the gear changing mechanism. Best of luck to you on the fix!!

Please be sure to rate this solution.

Joe

You may have a bent or warped disc. This happens much more easily than one would expect. You will have to remove the disc from the hub and lay it on a perfectly flat surface to see. If it is you can try remounting it and make sure the torx screws are snug. Tighten them the way you would when changing a car tire in an X pattern. Then try gently but firmly bending the disc in the opposite direction in the spot where it is rubbing. Some people have used thin washers behind the disc in the closest mounting hole but I would recommend a new disc.
