I searched the internet using https://www.google.com and did not see a manual for this model. There were some other Wards and Montgomery Wards model sewing machine manuals for sale on several sites, if any are similar to yours, and also some fraudulent sites as well, so beware.

You have to tighten the tension piece that is on he front of the machine. It's the thing that you wrap the thread around and slightly pull back so the thread slips through a small wire helpline thing !! You have to turn thAt knob slowly while your pulling the thread . So you can feel how tight or loose it is..
