Od error code

Maytag's service center emailed me back saying that I needed to purchase a magnet for the right side of the lid, even after I sent them photos of the lid. There is no magnet on the right side, so don't be fooled! The lid comes apart fairly easily. First, with a screwdriver, apply a little downward pressure and pry out the center liquid/powder holder. It is hinged on the bottom and will come right out. Next, pull out on the bottom corners and the lid liner will come straight down. Now you can verify that the magnet (on the left side!) is there and seated correctly. If that is the case, go ahead and reassemble. Unplug the washer. Lift up the top portion of the washer (at the crease). You may need a screwdriver to pry up on it. I didn't. I just pulled up on it. It comes up fairly easily. Now you can see the locks, mounted with one bolt on either side. Inspect the wiring for any wear or damage. Next, remove the locks one at a time, unhook the wire connector and plug them back in. Reassemble. Leave the lid up (not sure if it matters, but I did) and plug the washer back in. That's all I did and it worked! The "od" alarm didn't come back.

MAH550BWW front load Maytag washer-gasket drainis clogged

There is a 2" L shape hose connected to that drain hole under. You can unclog it using a soft plastic stick. Stick it on to that hole do not force it turn the plastic stick while putting it in. Thare are 2 types of door gasket on that model one has hole in it and the other doesn't. If your original doesn't have a hole, the one that has a hole will work but there is a plug on to that hole. This is your door gasket https://www.rcappliancepartsimages.com/dbimages/00003022/00909166.jpg Just take the front panell off to see if there's a small hose connected to the gasket drain hole. You can even clean it after taking the panell off https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6O6d3KFIfWo

I have a Maytag Neptune Washer, Model MAH5500. It

Sounds like a costly control problem. I wouldn't spend much at all to repair a 10 year old front loader.

Hole in Maytag Neptune front load washer door and flaking or melting of door.

Hello, I've owned the same Neptune since 1999 and had this problem happen to me twice, the first time the inside molded plastic door melted through in a circular pattern and had to be replaced. The fact that it was circular indicates that something was rubbing during the high speed spin. That something was a stiff bottomed duffle bag that was rubbing on the plastic door during high speed spin. The washer was full of other clothes that didn't allow the duffle bag enough room in the washer tub, hence it pressed against the plastic door. The second time it happened I got a circular groove melted in, but not through, the plastic door... caused this time by a small child's back pack. I would make sure "rigid" items have enough room to "float" in the tub cavity by not putting in other clothing that over packs the washer.

Hi, my Maytag Neptune gas

The thermal fuse is NEVER at fault, it is only a symptom of some other problem and is a serious safety warning. Check that the exhaust vent is clean and not kinked or otherwise obstructed. When WAS the last time you cleaned the vent??

Washer does not remove water in final spin

If washer hums when it should spin, and the washer will not drain, you may have 2 issues. First check that the drain pump, drain hose, and wall drain are free of debris. The washer may not spin properly if the drain system is not operable. Once you are sure the washer drain pump, drain lines, wall drain, and drain hose is okay, run a test wash. If the washer hums but now drains, you fixed one issue. If the washer still hums, you may have a bad belt, motor coupler, motor itself, etc... Check parts for wear and replace as necessary.I pulled the drain impeller and found a sock from my little guy stuck in there. Fixed! check all water outlets to make sure there is nothing blocking the pipes. you could also go to this link it might help you out..... Washer does not remove water in final spin Google Search

Back in 2010, our Maytag Neptune started making a lot of noise on high speed spin. I replaced the bearings and seal and all was good. Recently, the machine got noisy again. I just replaced the bearing

Usually four items are changed. The two bearings , the seal, and the shaft. When you did your first repair the shaft should have been replaced. The reason the noise continues is that the shaft wobble even as minor as it may be ends up beating the new bearings to where they start making noise again. The new kits are better designed and can be found for under 100.00 dollars. Shop around for the best price. Good Luck Friend.

Hello I have a Maytag Washer Model A512 The

The timer will always advance to the next program if the machine does not fully drain. There is ALWAYS a spin when draining the water out, there is only one pump and one motor. The waterlogged laundry maybe telling the timer that there is still water in the tub. Put the machine on "Spin" and cheat the lid switch into thinking that the lid is closed. Use a clothes peg or wide ended screwdriver and see if there really is a spin....
