Maxent TV works for a while but shuts off. I wait awhile and turn it back on and watch some more What is the problem?

It could be a loose power cord, check the connections on the back and make sure everything is secure. Also place the remote in a place where the buttons won't accidentally get pushed.

Is there any way to connect basic cable to the tv

Recently, I dropped HBO with my cable company and there dont have a box. Since the Maxent 42 is only a monitor and doesnot have a tuner...there is no where to plug cable from the wall to the tv.
Solution...plug cable from wall to VCR/DVD and then use RCA cables (Red,White and Yellow cables) from output from VCR/DVD. works great.

My maxent 58in flat screen tv buttons do absolutly nothing

Time to put that old TV out of its misery. They are not worth trying to fix, especially when you can purchase a new and far superior TV for $500. Example: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-55-class-54-6-diag--led-2160p-smart-4k-ultra-hd-tv/6051108.p?skuId=6051108

My maxent 50+ inch turns off every 10 minutes actually the time shortens when we turn it on from it turning off. To the point it shuts off in maybe just 1 minute. Any specific contactors capacitors or chips to look at? Specific readings to Check with a multi meter? I took apaet cleaned fans dust etc. Carefully of course. A lot on the pcs boards so tying to narrow down where to look. Nothing seems bad or burnt.

Hello... I don't have any experience with Maxnet TVs, but the only thing one can visually detect as being bad is domed capacitors. A power issue like what you are having would most likely be the power supply (where the power cord connects). If you don't know what a domed capacitor looks like, just Google it. I hope this helps!
