you should be able to replace the knob from the front of the panel without removing the control panelit has a "D" shaft on the knob and shaft also has a "D" configuration too? right?

its mounted on the side of the burner funnel just outside the ignitor bar area,if you still need a diagram of it and drawing you can see it at www.appliancepartspros.com,type in the complete model number and on the left side of the next page that it tales you to, point and click on picture number 3, it will be in the lower right hand corner and will be part number 48 which is mounted on the burner funnel number 46,there is also a parts list below this and you can see the actual part by clicking on the part number 48

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

your unit lists three timers but i think your talking about the expensive one il list all three the first one is the one i think your looking for

It sounds like the button contacts aren't making good contact. If you can get behind them you can spray them with electrical switch cleaner. ..

Press P (program )on the timer and display will show then change the desired day, time and minute using the D+, H+ and M+ buttons. Press P again to set up another program and repeat the second step as above

Clear memory by pushing the reset button on the timer then reprogram using your current schedule when you want the timer to go off/on. Use the day and clock buttons for this then press enter

No, the timer should not make any noise. The noise should be a result of loose connections which cause arcing, which can make a humming or buzzing sound. If you find that you still notice the sound, even when the main breaker is off then the problem is not electrical in nature.
