Drive adapter and Disc adapter stuck together

Stephanie Interbartolo You are tagging a question that is 10 year old! And the area you posted is where Experts ask the Original Poster for further information before committing to an answer! Better just to make your own question. 'make model (what it is)' as first 3 words, a clear question and that great picture. Spray WD40 into those slots. Have someone hold that ring over the edge of a worktop. Hold that lip on the left edge lip of the left piece with a pair of slip joint pliers, then tap the slip joint pliers with a small hammer to tap the two pieces apart. Then wash in soapy water to wash off the WD40. ..

Blender blade not turning, rotating piece on base not connected

this is getting more and more common there is a part between the motor and the drive gear that snaps for no reason . its job is to snap if the blades jam as a "fuse" to save your house from a overheating ,jammed motor . the problem is there are no parts to buy to fix this . if its new take it back to where you bought it . otherwise shipping it 2 ways for repair to the factory is sometimes as much or more as a new blender ........ i would recomend you do one of two things : go to a goodwill or other type shop and get a nice vintage blender , it will last forever ! or move up to a vita mix . its costly but it will realy last you ... this new made in china junk is just bad news even when it has the kitchen aid name on it . its still the same junk ..... good luck........ Please if this answer helped , please rate this 3 or 4 stars . and keep me in the paid answer department . A 1 or 2 may knock me down into the unpaid ranks. Thanks Cactus Bob .

KitchenAid French door refrigerator. How do I repair a non-working water Dispenser on it please?

Troubleshoot step by step and if that fails, resort to a professional: Check the Basics: Make sure the refrigerator is plugged in and receiving power. Verify that the water supply to the refrigerator is turned on. Inspect the Dispenser Actuator: The dispenser actuator is the component that activates the switch to send voltage to the dispenser. Check if the dispenser actuator is damaged. If so, replace it with a new one. I list a procedure for testing this actuator at the end of these basic steps. Frozen Water Tube: Disconnect the water supply tube at the bottom of the door. Blow air through it. If air doesn't pass through, the water supply tube may be frozen. Thaw it out and ensure the freezer is set to the proper temperature (0-10°F) to prevent future freezing. Water Inlet Valve: The water inlet valve opens to supply water to the dispenser. Ensure the water pressure to the valve is at least 20 psi. Use a multimeter to test the water inlet valve for continuity. If it lacks continuity, replace it. Check Water Filter: Remove the water filter and dispense water. If flow increases, the filter may be clogged or incorrectly installed. Replace the water filter if needed. Verify Water Supply Valve: Ensure the water supply valve (connected to the refrigerator) is fully open. If disconnected during service, it might not have been turned back on fully. And now, the testing of the actuator. To determine whether the dispenser actuator in your KitchenAid refrigerator is damaged, follow these steps: Visual Inspection: Look closely at the dispenser actuator. Check for any visible signs of damage, such as cracks, chips, or breakage. If you notice any physical damage, it's likely that the actuator needs replacement. Functional Test: Press the dispenser lever or button as you normally would to dispense water. Observe the response: Does the actuator move smoothly and engage the switch behind it? If the actuator feels stiff, loose, or doesn't move at all, it may be damaged. Listen for Clicking: When you press the dispenser lever, listen for a clicking sound. The actuator should make a distinct click as it activates the switch. If there's no click or an unusual noise, it could indicate a damaged actuator. Multimeter Test (Advanced): If you have a multimeter, you can perform a continuity test on the actuator. Disconnect the refrigerator from power. Remove the actuator cover (if applicable) to access the actuator. Set the multimeter to the continuity (ohms) setting. Touch the multimeter probes to the actuator terminals. If there's no continuity (infinite resistance), the actuator is likely faulty. Remember to exercise caution when working with electrical components. If you're unsure or uncomfortable performing these checks, consider seeking professional repair assistance. Remember to consult your Owner's Manual for specific instructions related to your model. Much of this information comes from the RepairClinic site.

KitchenAid mixer ring falls off

The trim ring news to be ta]ed in place with a plastic-face mallet. This type of mallet does not (if used properly) Mar the surface it striks. Hold the trim ring in place while tapping it in place. It often takes patience to get it right. The ring is properly in place when there is no place where you can insert a fingernail between it and the mixer body all around the ring.

Kitchenaid oven racks fall

I am a bit late on this question, but just ended up in a rabbit hole of unanswered Kitchenaid questions The self cleaning features only serves to keep manufacturers in steady sales of parts. Quite simply the oven can only take those temperatures a few times until they break. The heat burns out elements, damages fans, door locks and worst of all damages control boards which are not far enough from the heat source. You problem sounds like the walls of the oven have buckled in the heat so the racks no longer fit. Too late now, but you should have taken Kitchenaid to court, the oven was not fit for purpose under the description they used to sell it to you. Never use the self cleaning feature as stated here https://www.google.com/search?q=self-cleaning+oven+temperature Never Ever use the self clean feature. We see damage here every couple of weeks. The worst was a burned control board on an oven that all parts were obsolete, so the self clean cost a thousand bucks! Self-cleaning ovens bring the heat so you don't have to spend hours scrubbing. Traditional self-cleaning cycles heat the oven between 800°F and 900°F, helping turn soil and spills to a powdery ash you can then wipe away. They utilize only heat-no chemicals-and are built to withstand high temperatures. (Says Maytag who love selling elements, door locks and other parts),

Where is the fuse located on a kitchaid microwave

It is located behind the key panel. UNPLUG THE UNIT FIRST.
Remove top grill (2 sinked screws on top)
Now remove the single screw on top of the key panel. Barefully slide out the keypad up and out. The smart people of kitchenaid put the dang fuse jammed between the fan housing and the right wall. Remove the entire bottom plate that holds the lights and such... I think 8 screws. Now remove 2 screws that hold down the fan housing. Now you going to have to use a screw driver and some wiggling to move the plastic housing out of the way enough to pop and slide out the fuse and replace. To test you can use a continuity tester and place it between the fuse. There is nothing visible on this fuse (250Volt 20A fuse Fast Acting I think) e.g. you can't see that the fuse is broken or not. Make sure no wires are pinched while putting it all back.

Kitchenaid Artisan Stand Mixer has stuck hub bevel gear (KSM150PS)

The bevel gear sits above the worm-follower gear. I think you mean the drive attachment gear.I think I have the same, or similar problem. I ground a piece of meat that stopped it from working. The drive-attachment-gear turns if I push it in, but then it pops out. I am still trying to figure out what part is causing the issue - the drive attachment gear, or maybe even the worm follower gear.

Even though I clean and now have started to spray

Hi GMVLAHOS. Sorry to hear about your difficulties with removing your mixing blades. By the description of the symptoms, I think that the ‘groove pin’ (the pin sticking out from the agitator shaft that locks your blade onto the shaft) has loosened and shifted out or bent (or both) and this may be the cause of your difficulty in removing your mixing tools.
The ‘groove’ pin is supposed to be tightly fitted to the agitator shaft but it is possible, over time and use, that it has loosened and shifted or bent to the point that the mixing blades ‘appear’ to be stuck and doesn’t come off easily. A quick inspection of the agitator shaft as well as the blade attachment wells can confirm the diagnosis.
Inspect the opposite side of the groove pin hole on the agitator shaft. The end of the groove pin should be flush (or very nearly flush) with exterior of the agitator shaft. If there is a significant space then the groove pin has started to come free from the agitator shaft. The groove pin will still remain in place but the clearances between the pin and the blades may be reduced to zero, making the blades ‘stick’ when you try to remove them.
Also check the blade and see if there might be some additional scouring inside the attachment well where the groove pin contacts the blade when you mount or remove the blade.
How can you fix this? If you are DITY type person and feel adventurous, and if the groove pin does not look bent then a couple of light blows with a small hammer and punch should drive the pin back home tight. If the pin looks bent, then you would need to replace it. To remove the groove pin, you’ll need a small diameter punch (smaller than the diameter of the groove pin) to drive the pin from the agitator shaft.
You will need the Parts List manual on hand. If you're lacking one, you can download one from the KA website at: http://www.kitchenaid.com/flash.cmd?/#/page/home.
Click on Customer Care>Locate Manuals & Guides> Enter the 6 character model number, in your case use K45SSW select Parts List (1), K45SSWH0.pdf (341.41 KB), and then check to see it this matches your mixer model.
Turn to pages 4 & 5, titled: Case, Gearing And Planetary Unit for the disassembly and reassembly of your mixer, along with all the parts. Locate Illus. No. 21, Groove pin in Illus No. 26, Agitator Shaft Assembly. The groove pin is what needs to be replaced.
Here are four potential vendors in no particular order: RepairClinic.com; mendingshed.com; searspartsdirect.com; and partstore.com. Prices can vary widely between vendors, so do your comparison shopping.
Finally, here are some links to several excellent websites that detail the disassembling/reassembly of a KA Mixer.
Between these three websites and their excellent pictures and descriptions and your Parts List manual, you should now be able to completely disassemble and reassemble your mixer, should you decide to go that route.
If you feel this repair is beyond your capability, then I would seek out a local small appliance repair shop in your area. KA Customer Care can give you names of local KA authorized repair shops in your area, but you can also do an online search to supplement what KA may provide you. Call to explain your circumstances and find out their hourly rate and get an estimate of what they think it would cost to repair your mixer. Also, always obtain three or more estimates – do some comparison shopping. I hope this helps. Howard, Burke, VA
