Not printing correct colors all come out light brown or pink

For severe HP OJ 6500/6500A/7000 print quality/missing color issues, or incorrect color output, there could be an air bubble in the ink cartridge(s), an air gap between cartridge and PRINTHEAD, or a portion of the PRINTHEAD is dry (quite common), so you should first perform a CLEAN PRINTHEAD procedure from your printer control panel. It is first suggested you print the SELF TEST or PRINT QUALITY REPORT (under TOOLS menu) to aid in identifying which color is causing the issue. Check that cartridge or cartridges to ensure they have plenty of ink inside. NOTE: If one or more the colors were previously dry fired during printing (i.e. if you continued printing using only a few colors to one, air may have been accidently ingested into the ink lines between the cartridge(s) and PRINTHEAD. To recover from this problem, you may have to run the CLEAN PRINTHEAD procedure 2-3 times. If a problem persists then it is suggested to review the steps outlined on the following HP 920 support pages, including printhead removal/printer cleaning and service station cleaning. It is suggested you refer to printer manufacturer instructions first as the Inkjet411 procedures are provided for general guidance purposes only. A dirty service station can cause poor image quality and/or ink cross-contamination between different colors: http://inkjet411.retailinkjet.com/?page_id=1495 If the problem still cannot be corrected, then the PRINTHEAD may be dry and may need to be flushed (i.e. with warm water as it could have dried out, but this is a function of how much you print). Remove and thoroughly flush all ink ports for 2-3 minutes...thoroughly dry printhead prior to re-installing. Retest. For complete instructions refer to video here: http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=2412 Worst case scenario the PRINTHEAD may simply be electrically damaged or at end-of-life (while Officejet 6500/6500/7000 printer PRINTHEADS are rated for an estimated 15,000 pages, the average consumer may only see up to a 10,000 printed page throughput) and may require replacement. A severe failure of the PRINTHEAD is typically accompanied by error messages such as INCOMPATIBLE PRINTHEAD, REPLACE PRINTHEAD or INK SYSTEM FAILURE. NOTE: The PRINTHEAD will eventually fail in time. For more information on the how the PRINTHEAD works, watch the video here: http://inkjet411.retailinkjet.com/?page_id=1983 To verify Printhead electrical performance, activate the Tap 41 diagnostic test, (i.e. Pen Status: Pen OK).....for printer model instructions please visit: http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=1813 To solve other HP920 ink-series printer/printing related issues please visit http://www.inkjet411.com

Reset printer cartridges hp l7580

HP88 CARTRIDGE RECOGNITION FAILURES/CAUSES: The failure to recognize an ink cartridge(s) could either be a possible Cartridge connectivity, PRINTHEAD* connectivity or an end-of-life PRINTHEAD issue. We suggest you remove all the ink cartridges and thoroughly clean BOTH PRINTHEADS manually along with cartridge chip contact surfaces (located on bottom-rear side of each ink cartridge). Clean all electrical contacts, including those inside the printer which mate to the PRINTHEADS. Reinstall both PRINTHEADS and cartridges and retest. You may refer to HP's 'manual' cleaning procedures here: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=125&prodSeriesId=2511747&prodTypeId=18972&objectID=c00844045 Ensure an "expired ink cartridge" alert state is not causing the issue, refer to this page on how to check & bypass: http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=1384 ---- If you observe an "Expired xxxx ink cartridge" alert or message, this error may be bypassed by performing the following: a. Press and HOLD the Power button. b. Press Resume button 3 times. c. Release the Power button If the cartridge was refilled (i.e. at Costco or Fry's Electronics), following HP 88 cartridge chip replacement and complete cartridge/printhead/printer manual electrical contact cleaning, the cartridge alert message(s) continue, then you may have a damaged PRINTHEAD* (there are two printheads inside the printer) which may require re-priming or replacement depending on problem symptoms. * The HP 88 ink-series printer models have two electronic PRINTHEADS (each of these electronic devices are responsible for pulling ink from the ink cartridges and then firing the ink droplets onto the paper) - both PRINTHEADS will eventually fail depending on printed content, printer duty cycle (i.e. typically rated for ~41, 500 printed pages depending on image content & frequency of printing). The average inkjet printer can typically be refilled with ~15 to 20 complete sets of ink cartridges over the life of the printhead, after which, either the Yellow/Black and/or Cyan/Magenta printhead will need to be replaced due to internal electrical failure (available at HP.com). Refer to video on how the HP PRINTHEAD functions: http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=2054 When the PRINTHEAD electronically fails typically the printer will provide an alert message when this happens, but if a printhead has suffered a deprime (i.e. loss of ink/pressure which results in no printing of color), it is possible to recover the system using a 3rd party PRINTHEAD priming tool, such as this one: http://www.inkowl.com/?p=product&product=5035 For advanced HP printer diagnostics or information on ink refilling services, please visit Inkjet411: http://www.inkjet411.com

Paper Jam HP OfficeJet 8500

etechrepair.jpg Constant jam indication. This gear is more than likely the cause after exhausting all other avenues. Also nearly impossible to get to let alone replace even if HP offered the part. There is a black cover over the clutch assy that can be removed to reveal the gear. In most cases the gear is either sitting in the bottom of the machine or split down one side. This is the second machine that I have diagnosed with this problem in a very short time. If you have this broken gear, consider it toast. Matt / E-tech Copier and printer repair.

Officejet 6500 wireless has stopped printing ALL color.

Send the cartridges back! HP cartridges are coded and will only work with HP printers. Hp has had problems with their coded cartridges. Especially if they were manufactured overseas. Their own product won't recognize the cartridges. It is not the printer it is the cartridges.

My printer is automatically deleting print jobs

Hi there you can try this.
Not sure if this will work that well for you but this is what I found worked for me.
  1. Start
  2. Control panel
  3. Printers
  4. Double click your printer
  5. See the jammed jobs in there
  6. Click Printer
  7. Click Cancel All Documents
  8. Wait about a minute, should hear your printer cooperate again
----------------------------------------------------------------
If you are on Vista Home Premium, go through the following steps to clear "deleted" print jobs from the print queue.

1) Go to Control Panel
2) Select System and Maintenance
3) Select Administrative Tools
4) Double-click on Services
5) In the list of services, scroll down until you find one called "Print Spooler"
6) Right-click on "Print Spooler" and select "Restart"
7) The "deleted" jobs will disappear and any queued jobs in your print queue will print

Hope this helps. I figured it out on my own without any assistance from the paid professionals.

Cant say if it will work so come back let us know so other can use this thanks.

Printing alignment is cross

You can rerun the printer alignment to see if that is the issue.

Push the setup button and then go down to Tools. Press ok and go to align cartridges and press ok. When the alignment page prints be sure to put it down on the scanner glass and press the scan button to finish it.

It indicates that there is a paper jam but there

This issue may cause due to the following reasons.
1. Unlocked rear access door.
2.Dirty paper feed rollers. Over time, paper fibers and dust will stick to the rollers
3.Partially installed paper tray.
4.The paper is being pushed in too far.
However, to resolve the issue I have included the troubleshooting steps, which are ranked by simplicity and probability of success.
We truly appreciate the trust that you have displayed in us and our service and assure you that we will certainly live up to your expectations.
Solution summary:
=============
* Paper jam (article)
* Supported paper
* Check the size of the paper / check with different paper
* Check the number of sheets loaded
* Cleaning the rollers
* Power cycle
* Connect directely to wall out let
* Semifull Reset

Check the size of the paper/ check with different paper:
====================================
Ensure, that you are using correct size, and thickness of the paper, if the error message still appears, check with other paer.
Check the number of sheets loaded:
========================
Ensure, that minimum number of sheets are load, try to load single sheed and try printing.
Cleaning the rollers:
=============
1. Unplug the printer power cord and remove the back door.
2. Wipe the paper rollers with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled or bottled water. Rotate the rollers with your fingers to clean all the way around.
3. Allow the rollers to dry completely, then close the rear door.
4. Open the print carriage access door.
5. Use a soft cotton swab dampened with water to clean the four small metal paper rollers. Avoid touching the encoder strip. The illustration below shows the relative locations of these parts.
6. Use a clean, dry cotton cloth to wipe the carriage rod. Move the carriage as needed to clean the full length of the rod. Do not lubricate the rod.
7. Close the printer, plug the power cord in, and turn on the printer power.
8. If the error message does not go away, you need to get the printer serviced.
Power Cycle:
========
Follow the steps below to power cycle your all-in-one:
1. Verify that the unit is switched on. Disconnect the USB/Ethernet cable from the All-in-One and also disconnect power cable from All-in-One and also from wall outlet.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug in the power cable to All-in-One and also to wall outlet.
4. Check for the functionality.
Connect directely to wall out let:
======================
The surge protector may not supply sufficient power to the printer. To isolate the issue please remove the power plug of the printer from the surge protector and connect it to the wall jack directly.
Being a All-in-One Machine it needs full voltage to be supplied while initializing Surge protectors supply suppressed voltage to the printer which leads to unexpected issues in the printer
Semifull Reset:
==========
Note:
A semi-full reset will do the following:
The user settings to the factory defaults, Language and country settings on some models, Fax logs, Fax headers, Fax speed dial information.
Reset the All-in-One to the factory default settings by using these instructions:
1. Unplug the power cable from printer when the printer is powered on and wait for 20 seconds.
2. Then, press and hold # and 6 while plugging in the power cord.
Continue holding until it displays Semi Full Reset message in the front panel of the All-in-One.
