The Nike GPS monitor fits into your sneaker and you can track your progress on your iPhone or iPod with a special app. You can download the app from the iTunes app store.
I have always washed my sneakers in the washing machine, if they have air bubbles make sure that you wash them on a cold wash and not too hot as this can cause the bubble to expand and rupture.
It is unlikely that the bubble can be repaired but Nike does have a 2 year warranty depending on the wear and tear of the shoe, you could take them to the store you got them and see what they say.
