Check compression if it is low then you will have to pull head anyway so you may as well have a look/see!

Did you try laying the plugs on the head and plug them into the wires, then crank it over and see if the plugs spark then. If they don't then maybe crank sensor or cdi box is bad.

Check the compression on the engine, maybe losing compression?

Is it getting hot?

Check the wire coming out of the sensor to ground with an ohm meter, as the motor warms up, it should change. If it doesn't its the sensor, if it does its either the gauge or the wire going to the gauge.

Did you try changing the spark plugs?

Some modles are actually located under the engine. follow your spark plug wires back,they will end at them! lol

You have dirt in the carburetor jets and or passages, clean the fuel tank and rebuild the carb.

Most cat modles are located in the fuel tank.

check spark, check fuel, are the plugs wet, does it start on spray starting fluid?

2016 model with low miles on it take it back for a warranty fix

buy a new fuel pump....

check for the throttle cable adjustment or jammed in a fast speed spot

What is it doing when you try to put in reverse? Is it automatic or standard transmission?

Could be as simple as turning off "Summer Mode" that should only be used in very hot climates. Hold both temp buttons (+ -) in until icon on display is gone.

if it is a 4 stroke engine then the compression is too low and there has to be an investigation as to why blocked air filter would be the first place , then worn rings would be next
