To change the Alarm Hold mode whilst on the time section. then start/stop changes between hour and minute, adjust changes the number. To cancle, press mode again. To change the actual Time Go on to the stopwatch section Hold Mode, if it shows you the alarm press mode to change to time. The seconds should be flashing, press start/stop to change between hour minute second date, and adjust changed the number.

The Benrus watch you have is not the Benrus watch that became world famous years ago. In fact, "The Benrus Watch Company" went bankrupt in the late '70s . I know this an old thread but... What anonymous above said... Go into hand settings mode and set all hands to 12 then press A to exit... Have a good read of the hand setting section in the manual how to do this and it will become clear.. Your time should be correct after this, if it's still out make sure your GMT offset is correct and update the time via radio control. All should be well. It's kind of complicated but once you've done it it's easy! One thing about this watch that's annoying.. It doesn't seem to have an hourly chime ??

Do you have a model number? Most watches use a spring loaded pin that slots through the strap at the watch end. The two pairs of 'legs' at each end of the watch have dimples on the inside flat surfaces that the spring pushes the ends of the pin into. You mount one end into a dimple then push against the spring until it's short enough to drop into the opposite dimple. A real pain in the tailbone to do as the bits are so small but you can do it yourself.

Changing Watch Batteries Lots of posters ask "what is the battery in my (name of watch)" with a view to changing it yourself. This is a bad idea for many reasons. You don't have the tools or knowledge to remove a rotary screw on back, or the gasket sealant for a waterproof watch. Some fashion watches have 4 traditional screw and need professional grade jeweler screwdrivers. Also, there are about 20 batteries commonly used in watches, in various sizes and internal technology, Lithium Ion, Silver Oxide and Manganese Alkaline. If you buy them, you generally have to buy 10! Don't sweat the details. Just take the watch to your local jeweler. They have all the batteries at hand and the tools to remove the back. It is done whilst you wait for $8 to $15! It is very important that a battery is replaced by an experienced professional who can properly seal the back of the watch to prevent damage to the movement.
